Well I haven't seen a thread opened for this ep yet so I got one open.
Just watched it and, I didn't completely hate it. Sure there were one(or two or three or four) too many Isabel scenes, but after so many weeks without it, I lived. The storyline wasn't bad, it was OK, actually. Really liked the M/L scene in the minature golf place.

I agree with you Angel. Loved all of the Max/Liz scenes (all like 2 of them!) Isaboob was annoying as ever! I did like the "fight" scene between Michael and Max...that was pretty cool! They've both been wanting to do that for a long time! Adore Max's facial expressions with Liz...he is just too adorable for words!

I wrote a pre-episode rant about this eppy before I saw it, and I am not sure how to review this eppy?
It was so cold! What happened to the friendships, the characters, the family, the HEART? Talk about "phoning it in"! I think Nick Wechsler is the only one who showed up to act, and his dialogue about the aliens, other than his quip about not wanting Michael to be leader of the club was utterly ridiculous. Do any of the "writers" actually watch any of the eppies? The answer is clearly "no". Ignore the plotholes, the chads, and the ridiculousness of the plot, and all that is left is a bunch of actors who clearly do not want to be there. When did Jason Behr celebrate his 47th birthday? And Jeff's sudden zen-like reversal of character? And Liz's character was written like she was Maria or GOD help me, Tess. And Isabel? Run away with Jesse from her brothers?
I could go on for pages, the disappointment is so thick. Wasted opportunities, wasted dialogue, wasted storyline, wasted episode, "wasted" producers and "writing" staff.
Sigh.

Ok...I don't think the episode was that bad...I just think it moved way too fast. I understand that Max is back officially, but there was no emotional happiness about him not being dead -- you'ld think people would want to see it. Then we get this whole thing about Jesse seeing a shrink...Understand but why did it have to start that way... And the way micheal got his royal seal -- you'ld think there would be mo' drama in that! The scripts described it as some type of rash. I loved the line about my druggie roomate wanted to have a 3 way with the Latin teacher! That just blew me away. Is it just me or did everyone seem off with their acting in this ep? This episode could have been really good, if the fight seen was more dramatic, and if the acting was just a smidge stronger I would have enjoyed it even more... but I did like watching it cause...I'm a roswellaholic! and i love JB

Wow. This is going to be hard. I'm tossed on it. Let's get to the stuff I liked and some I didn't... I loved the part with Max's tongue.  Of course! I laughed my ass off. Max I have to add actually looked pretty good in this ep. compared to some of the past ones. New haircut maybe? Not sure. I also enjoyed his lines that he realized what's important- living life in the present and cherishing what he does have vs. what he doesn't. IE. Giving up the search for spot and so forth. I actually liked how Liz said she couldn't go back to what was. It's obvious she's still showing signs of hatred towards Max and what he has done in the past. That is a tough issue and she does need space to rethink her decisions on whether to be or not to be with Max at this point. I also have to admit here  lush: that I never really fully fell for Kyle.. especially not in season one... but last night, *gush* I really love him! He is just to damn adorable. I honestly thought the whole storyline with Michael becoming King was stupid IMO. It didn't make alot of sense to me and was not that intresting. I did however enjoy his lines to Maria that he stayed for her only for her to run off. *tear* As far as Isabel and Jesse go... ugh. It was okay I guess. I was actually surprised that Jesse shot the guy, I honestly thought that it was Jesse who had been shot. I'm a little mad at him for the whole crisis though. If he married her and really loved her, then he would need to love or at least accept everything about her, right? Everyone has secrets granted, but you marry that person for all the good and bad in them. I guess it is disappointing that he would show so much anger towards her. Hmmm... some of it was really stupid, a few parts were okay, overall.. I wouldn't bother watching it again.

Ok...forgot to add that I did really like the fact that Michael finally threw it in Maria's face that he stayed on this planet for her and she thanks him by dumping him! I've wanted him to say something for a long time now! I mean...that is pretty important wouldn't you think? I do agree that the acting didn't seem quite right, but that Nick did a pretty good job. Love the 3-way comment too and the fact that Jeff was giving Mr.Evans advice about Max was kind of odd...considering. Oh well, I was just thrilled to be able to be watching an actual episode!

Max did look better in this episode than the others, but that's just cuz I hated that leather jacket and there were no signs of it in this ep And..uh... I don't hate Max, but it woulda been nice if Liz hit him harder with that golf club and on the head. Yeah, I'm still pissed off about him sleeping with Tess and the baby thing, who isn't?!

With you guys on both points! Kyle doesn't say awhole lot lately, but usually when he does it's pretty funny and I was LMAO with that comment. And when he said, "I for one am panicing. I love the guy, but I don't want to be a member of any club where Michael is the leader." How scary is that thought? Any frankly, if I was Liz, and I had the opportunity to hit Max with a golf club...I would of hauled off a nailed him with it! Love him to death...but hate the whole Trash/Spot issue he created!

Random thoughts...
- They mentioned school. Max mentioned school. I thought they were all drop outs except for Liz.
- Since when does Michael want to be with Isabel?
- Why did they keep showing BF's chest? ugh! Why was the seal on his chest while Max's was in his head?
- How does Michael have the gaul to go off on Maria for dumping him? He treated her like crap for 2 years. It was his decision to stay - she didn't force him.
- Actually felt sorry for Isabel. She should have left town.
- Was hoping Jesse was the one how got shot. How convenient that he happened to have a gun.
- Phillip needs to give it up or just ask Max what the deal is. What kind of parent is this guy? You have a problem with your kid, you confront him. You don't to his ex-girlfriends father and start fishing for information. I can't wait till their parents find out about their children's true identies.
- Maria sees the V on Michael's chest. She says it was a V. Max draws a V and asks "Did it look like this?" Uh...yeah? A V. It was a V. Good job Max. Tomorrow we will work on the letter W. Now go lie down before you over exert yourself. (courtesy of Carrie)
- What happened to Liz's freaky powers that go wonky when Max is around?
- Kyle... Kyle had more than one line. Kyle was in more than one scene. Kyle was handling his deep socket wrench.
Like most of the eps this season, it was trying to be good. There was potential there but it just didn't make it. It just seems like they are all tired and they just want it be over already.

LMAO! That was great! I also wondered why the V was on Michaels chest but on Maxs head. Then again, you have to remember that that is how it works.. nothing makes logical sense. The writers are good at changing things and never staying consitent.

I loved all the points everyone made and Luvtruche--I wanted to take what you said about Liz's acting being a little bit off. I was totally confused by her acting scenes (the 2 her and Max had...geesh!) but mostly with the put-putt one. Liz kept inverted eyes, never really looking at Max when she talked to him. It was killer, in the crashdown scene, just to see her look at Max when he asked if they could start over or just hang out as friends. that look spoke billions..."like how many times are we going to stay on this vicious circle?" I was so surprised my Michael's rants to Maria and Jesse and Max...good lord he must have eat'n his wheaty's today. But it was a total power trip to watch him in action...I loved it. FINALLY some communication in here. Sometime...ok most of the time I never feel like anything gets resolved and Michael most definitely stomped that puppy out...of at least that eppy. Acting wise I thought Isabel and Jesse's stuff was real. Michael was real and Maria -- I couldn't tell -- but truthfully she pulled off a pretty good surprise act. But the moment she ran out of the house with Kyle and Liz (Max and Michael's battle --- that was sort of a joke...it definitely needed something), her line was crap...not believeable at all. And what was up with the ending? Jesse watching a cooking show while Isabel (which up until then used her powers for everything) started hand sweeping the kitchen floor. I maybe speaking too quickly on this one, but I thought this eppy didn't have any plot holes...everything seemed pretty open and close. Sure the "V" symbol was shady...Max even made that point...but other than that everything was cut and dry.

I just wanted to add that after many weeks of "roswell this and roswell that" my grandmother watched eppy15 and liked it. I got my friend to watch an eppy and it ended up being awful! *quite Rick* It was "I Married an alien" Season 3 never was that bad...not great but not bad (except IMAA & Interruptus--both sucked to hell) Anyways, i just wanted to share that.
