Wow. Whereever to begin.
I'll admit I was overwhelmed and saddened just to see it end after 3 long years. I will definitely miss seeing all the characters next year.
However, I was disappointed in the finale.
So many things just did not go over well with me. First off, the whole storyline did not work well at all. All this time they have always stayed in Roswell to fight their enemies. Why run now? I guess the whole running from problems thing bugs me. Second, did they not realize (as always) it would not solve their problems? I mean if the FBI are after them, don't you think that they would take their parents into custody? For questioning? Wouldn't they think maybe the parents are aliens as well?
Although, I did enjoy the engagement scene tremendously, I was so mad that they didn't show them "together". AGH!
I couldn't believe for the finale it never showed Maria's mom or Liz's Mom. Guess they really did disappear off the face of the planet. Geez.
The wedding. What a disaster. First of all, the dress. Come on, sure it was cute and all, but it was somthing that Maria would of worn, not Liz. I did love her hair though.
Second, I knew they would never let us see all of it, but OMG. I remember looking at the clock and it was like 2 minutes to the end, and I swear if you counted to five you would of missed it. Talk about short and uneventful. I had to sit through Isabore's wedding and I didn't even get to see 5 seconds worth of M&L's.
I also agree, if there were anything that I would of liked to see more, it would of been the reference to Future Max. They had a perfect lead in to it to. When Liz and Max were talking as if they only had 12 days, why would Liz NOT think of to mention how FMax had once predicted something like this?
Okay, I did love
the lines Michael gave Maria. That was awesome and I cried. I also loved the Kyle and Valenti scenes. I cried my eyes out over those two.
Of course, Kyle has always been a great character and I have truely enjoyed watching him this season. And that song "Good-bye" playing in the background with all the characters just standing there, unsure of what was to come.
Also not knowing all of the spoilers, the sniper scene at the Graduation did grab my attention. I had goosebumps literally. I just wasn't expecting that. Good scene.
The part at the end with Liz looking out the window was ever so cheesy IMO. Blah. It was all just a little too hippy for me. As far as her voiceover goes, it was nice seeing it back, but again, I would of perferred it showing her writing in her diary as she talked. Sort of like how it all began.
Overall, it was sad because it was the last, but I was disappointed on how quickly it was thrown together. Maybe the original 2 hour finale would of turned out a bit better. But then again, I guess I just didn't like the end where they all run away.
On the flip side, my favorite part? Would have to of been, when the FBI agents where putting all the pictures together. And they put Michael, Isabel, Max and Liz and said those are the four. Damn right!
Now that I knew all the time!
They are the Royal Four.
