Not from your perspective, from the writers... Do you think their intentions of her were to be good or bad? And why her character flip flopped? What's your take?

I think they always meant evil because it made the show more dramatic, hence more viewers. The reason they made her bad then good then bad again was so it would cause the viewers to be confused of sorts. They wanted you to hate her to start off with and then they made you second guess yourself when they made her apart of the group only to make you, in the end, hate her guts for what she did to our Scooby Gang! Of course then they throw you the big curve ball. Should you forgive her for in the end for tieing up her loose ends with the group, i.e. turning herself in, killing herself for her son, telling the gang the truth, mending ties with Liz? That's just what I think though.

I'm not sure actually... At first, she was brought in to spice things up (Which I doubt she did). Then, early S2, she seems to be sane, good and normal. After that, she became evil, all of the sudden. If I'm right, Emilie wasn't gonna leave the show, and they suddenly kick her off the show. I'm confused!

I'm torn on this matter too. I don't think Tess is all-out an evil person, just misguided and made stupid decisions (like deciding to fulfill Nasedo's deal although he was DEAD). Killing Alex was definitely the last straw... he was an innocent party who didn't deserve to die at all. I liked her at the start of Season 2 though because she was portrayed as actually being HUMAN, as opposed to her stalkerish act in Season 1. What a shame. I thought that the writers could have paired her up with Kyle and made her character more likable in the process. Too bad they had to go down the stupid love triangle road and ruined everything.

I think she was seriously confused. I dunno if she was all out evil, but she definitely wasn't good. So yeah I'll stick with confused... I mean... yea it was evil of her to kill Alex, but she didn't do it to KILL him. It wasn't intentional or anything. Yea she went after Max (which I hate her for), but she did that cuz of Nacedo.
It sucked at the end of S2 when they made her completely evil cuz they could've done a lot more with her character than just the twisted evil alien ho.

To me i would say they the writers messed up big time. Especially with tess. I hate her so much! well i just dont like her at all! The only thing she did in roswell was mess up liz's life and i dont like her for that or even at all! They messed up the show by puttin emilie de ravin on there so shame on te producers shame on them! i dont even like the producers for that and takeing off the show the show was great the producers here i see were the only problem so to answer the question i would say evil and i dont like tess!

I totally reckon that the writers had no intention of having Tess as evil, but I think that they came to the end of the series and needed the storyline to be resolved. The ending was just way too rushed for the writers to have planned that! There must be a reason they got their jobs as writers, right?

Tess is evil. In the beginning she was simply petty, but when the writers had her take an innocent life she became evil,. and they stuck with it. Even when she came back she was still killing people. Even though they had her semi redeem herself by giving herself up, it still wasn't enough. Not for me. Because you can be evil and still protect your child. Later, Vix p.s. I would have perfered her petty then Kyle reformed like she is in ALL of my stories lol

To say that JKrack and his team would make Tess turn out to be a good-to-bad character would credit them with a little sensitivity towards fans (well some, who wanted Tess to be portrayed as evil so that they could say i-told-you-so). To say that the writing team planned to make Tess evil all along woul credit them with brains (cause let's face it, Tess by herself looked like a dumb offal all the time, no offense to tess fans). In this case, I'll just say they did a 180 degree for no reason - I can credit them with zero sensitivity and zero brains.
:lfmao: who actually understood that?

My opinion? It's fucked up. (of course you knew I'd say that, right?) For many of the reasons above and more. Most of them go off other screwed up storylines also.. so... Like why make her evil? I mean, she's *supposed* to be the Royal four. So how the hell does that make sense? Nacedo is a whole crazy storyline, in which confuses most. And I'll have to come back to this later, because I just lost my train of thought.

She was just... evil, I think, because while she was alien, and while she was raised by a killer, she was also half-human and had the chance to turn it all around once Nasedo was no more. But, she chose to continue with the plan, and so that's why I said what I said.

I think she was at first going after what she thought was hers, and then when she realized he would not comply w/her at all, she got seriously mad. Then she met Kyle and his father, felt like she belonged, then she had some freak attack and got crazy and went after Max and hurt anyone who stood in her way. I just think she was lost in a world she clearly didn't feel like she belonged. JMO. I liked her w/Kyle. I just don't get why she didn't give up when she realized that Max was never going to love her and it didn't matter at all about the past life.
