I have the whole book series (big surprise) and I love all the books! But I think that the best ones were The Outsider and The Salvation. For those who haven't read them yet, The Outsider is much like the pilot of Roswell and The Salvation chronicles the ending of the book series like Graduation. I find the original series better than the later ones like Little Green Men and Shades. I find those harder to read. The later ones follows the development of the show but the original series is very different from the show from the second book, The Wild One onwards. I guess the best thing for us Tess haters is that there is no Tess in the books! However, in the later books there is something that makes Max and Liz grow apart, which is called the consciousness. Other differences are that the aliens can sense the auras of people and also change their faces by molding it with their hands. Plus, there are way more alien teenagers like them, like Nikolas a bad boy type of alien who later became Isabel's boyfriend. All I can tell you is that he is definitely more interesting than Jesse. Another alien is Adam, who was caught by Sheriff Valenti (who BTW is totally evil in here) and a secret organization called Project Clean Slate and kept away in a underground location. Plus, Michael actually has a brother here named Trevor! So, which are your favourite Roswell High books?

-aaaaah...I was wondering while reading some fanfics how they had gotten the idea of having the sense auras...now it's obvious, of course... Haven't read any, as you can easily understand from my statement...I'm confused though: there are different series? I know that the original one didn't match the show like from the second book on, but now there's another series? One that matches the show?

Alien Stalker- Um... there are several books on the TV show Roswell. Roswell High came before the books and although the tv show is based on it, thy are anything, but the same. There's another bok series that kinda follows the TV show. Th Loose End's Series... they have a few books out and more are coming. Hope that helps.

Yeah, it does, thanks... I haven't read any, but I guess I still prefer the show. If I can't *see* Michael, it's no good.

Alien- Hehee . . . That's funny! Anyway, you could probably imagine how they looked like. Max is supposed to be blue-eyed and blond (weird imagining him looking anything other than on the show, huh?) Michael is supposed to be muscular (that made you happy, didn't it?) and he's more cheery in the books too. Another thing is that the gang are portrayed as being even closer in the books than in the show! Hmm. . . I wonder why is that?

ARGH! That's plain awful. Max MUST be dark, "brooding and paranoid", and have dumbo-ears. I bet the books' doesn't even have those great ears! Muscular Michael is good. But actually ´what I love about Michael is exactly that he's not cheery, but that, speaking with Maria's words, "under that poorly-bathed exterior there's this whole wounded, deeply vulnerable guy (or so)".

Yeah I didn't like how Max looked like in the books. The blue eyes and blond hair just didn't go with the brooding mysterious characteristics of Max. And I didn't like Michael much in the books... he was muscular and everything, but then he isn't like the Michael in the show, who is barely ever happy, who doesn't get sappy, who isn't completely nice. He's not a total stonewall in the books.

I love reading about their auras. Liz-Amber Max-Jade Green Michael-Brick Red Maria-Sparkling Blue (Unfortunately, Isabel's aura is the best)-Rich Purple Alex-Screaming Orange
Kyle and Valenti are evil, so no aura. At the end *spoiler* Kyle was in a mental hospital.

Michael in the books was way cheery it was kind of creepy (no offense). I mean, we're all so used to seeing him brooding and intense. And I also can't imagine Max being blond and blue-eyed. That's just plain weird to me! He definitely should look how he looks in the show.

Hi Shapeshifter! Welcome back! I know I've already seen you around! I Michael-Stonewall-Guerin, so please, no weird experiments with his character, okay? Looks like I won't read the books after all. Happy Michael is something I can't bear. (Poor guy...someone should give him a break, now his worshippers don't even want him to be happy anymore... )

The show is based on the Roswell High Books. There's 10 of them out.
But the other books series that's out called Loose Ends, that's based on the Tv Show.

Well, I haven't read any of them either. Not sure why exactly. I guess because the books are written at such a "younger" level - I find it hard to relate. But that's interesting about Max and Michael. Not sure I really like those features on them. And poor KYLE Sent away to a mental hospital? That's terrible. So tell us-- in the original series that the show was based off of-- how did it end in the books? Oh and almost forgot the one thing I did see that I liked alot. No Trash.

Yeah, I've thought the same thing about not reading the books. It seems more on a junior high type level. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but just not my cup of tea.
And I am curious, as well, how the original books ended.
