Hey everyone don't forget today the movie(s) are released at Blockbuster to either rent or buy. I'll be renting it today and hopefully I'll get to watch it and then post my thoughts on it. If you've already seen it, then spill. Likey or no likey?

Edited because when I was there I realized that Orange County was also released today. Anyhow, I picked them both up and will watch them both in the next few days and let you know what I think.

I haven't seen both of the movies yet, but I'm planning on watching Orange County sometime this week. I just bought the DVD.

Cory, I would have to agree with you. I watched the Shipping News and it wasn't that spectacular IMO. You only see Jason what maybe 10 minutes worth throughout the entire film and the storyline was just well, stoopid.

I of course watched the first 30 minutes of Orange County last night and will watch the rest of it tonight. So far, it is really good. It is nice to see Alex up front. I missed him too. It's pretty darn funny. Loved the part with the counselor mixing up the two transcipts. Go rent it!

I've watched Orange County, but not Shipping News. I love Jason's name, Dennis Buggit! Sorry, I'm plain weird...

I liked Orange County a lot.. people said it sucked, but I thought it was good!
Colin did a great job..and one thing I LOVED about the movie was that his girlfriend was "real".. she wore pretty much no make-up and she was really smart and was an animal activist.. I loved it. Hehe.
It was funny though, Jack Black is hilarious. The ending was cute too.

I really wanted to see it but then somehow figured the film was weird after I watched the trailer...so I didn't. Guess it doesn't make a difference though according to your statement, Bunnie.

Yeah, the Shipping News is different. The only reason I watched it was because of Jason. Although I do love Julianne Moore. But you really have to pay attention or else your lost.
