I'm just starting on S3. Michael is a security guard again? They all have their jobs back? When? How? WHY is this left unexplained? Stupid writers! Wow. Isabel moves on from Alex *fast*. Oh, yeah, she was *so* in love. And the way she and Jesse go at it? Hon, what you two have isn't spelled l-o-v-e, it's spelled l-u-s-t. Learn to tell the difference. Thanks! Okay, this thing with Alex's ghost is annoying. If she is *that* hung up on Alex, then she is *so* not ready for another relationship. I *must* go to bed now. Will finish this eppy later.

I still feel for Liz although she didn't handle Alex's death very well. It's just probably her own way of dealing with it. She should have been more supportive to Maria though. I think that Isabel shouldn't have just gone running off so soon. And I thought that Michael was being pretty wonderful supporting Maria.
Wow, Zook! I'm so jealous! We're not even on Season 3 yet!

Liz's personality change annoys me, too. She goes from this sweet chick to this total rebel practically overnight, and she's suddenly all over Max like white on rice and just totally...not her. Maria and Michael are the only thing that *hasn't* changed, usually for the worse, and even he is starting to annoy me. As wonderful as he can be, he has this unchanging streak of selfishness that runs deep and wide, and everything seems to have to be on *his* terms and *his* way, and when he thinks of someone besides himself, it's a surprise. And Maria tollerating that in a serious boyfriend makes me wonder about the composition of her spine--bone, or jelly? She complains about Michael, but when the cards are down, she puts up with him. She seems to have crossed the line between supportive and enabling a while ago.

What is Jesse hiding with the FBI thing? Like the dresses Liz and Maria have one. LOVE Isabel's dress. She looks wonderful! How did they get a wedding like that together so fast? Okay, if Mom and Dad show the day of the wedding, they aren't going to have flowers ready for them. DUH? Oh, maybe they brought their own. And the reception? There is just NO WAY they got that together in two weeks. So not happening! Okay, what two guests got booted from the reception so Mom and Dad could sit and eat? Maria, my main chick! You got the band! Honey, you are a great friend. Isabel should be kissing your feet and vowing eternal gratitude. You rock! If I walked up to my dad, and said what Liz said to hers about dancing with Max, he'd have kittens, and then lock me in the truck. And when I got home, he'd rip me a new one so large you could drive a Mack truck through it. Because I was openly disobedient and disrespectful. And I'd be grounded for life. If I was 18, and refused to comply with his decree, he'd kick me out of the house. Liz has no idea how good she has it. In my dad's defense, I have no doubt he loves me and will do (and has done) everything he can for me, and he has my best interests at heart. Kyle needs a good woman... Kivar showed! DUDE!

Lucky you, getting to watch S3 already! I don't like Maria in the third season. I think she went through a personality transplant or something.

Zook - Quote: Quote: The dangling ends are starting to look like a forest of vines here! So true! On my way to defending Michael : I think he really *is* selfish all the time because he doesn't know better, but contrary to other people like Max (I'm starting to wonder how you can't be seriously pissed at him as well by now) in the end he takes a major turn. I think of the three of them (aliens), Michael is the most human. He puts himself first in the beginning, but eventually always ends up doing instinctively what others really need: Think of a Roswelll Christmas Carol, when he takes Max to his Christmas gift (seeing Sydney well); think of Leaving Las Vegas, when he gets Maria on stage after having been a royal pain in the ass all day. Stuff like that. Man, I love the dude. Can't help it. I'm probably not too objective though. Oh, and I think he probably got his job back at Metachem for the entire Carl action. Maj - Yeah, esp. after Behind the Music. I understand what she's saying then though. Zook should love that ep. Maria gets to find her backbone.

Okay, what is UP with Valandra taking over Isabel, and then suddenly...Isabel is back? She just shoves Kivar? What is up with that? I'm glad Isabel is back, but...the whole thing just was so hard to take.
Michael is, indeed, the most human of them all, which is why I like him most. It's just that I'm finding it harder and harder to stomach that Maria continues to put up with him in the boyfriend capacity when he is still so self-centered. He is improving, but he has a lot of work to do before he is ready to hold up his end of a relationship.

I'm getting that idea. Turn on video, turn off brain. Actually trying to make sense of it all is like trying to slow down a speeding train by yelling at it.

Quote: Quote: Turn on video, turn off brain. So true once again. It's kinda sad though because I used to think that Roswell was the exception from the turn-off-brain rule, but no. It still has some of the best dialogue though IMO.

Yes, it does have some good dialogue, but if I wasn't watching it so I could discorse with y'all, I'd likely just give it up now, because it's just so...insipid and melodramatic and I'm just having a hard time caring about the characters. Except Maria and Michael. And Jesse. I'd love to smack around everyone else, because they're being morons and so need a life! Liz is coming off as a whiny spoiled brat who pouts when she doesn't get her way, and Max just moons around, speaks in a monotone, expects everyone else to cover for him because he's King of the Mountain, and he expects people to just forgive and forget when he says, "I'm sorry", and (God forbid!) they actually expect him to show, in his life, he's changed, he acts like they just totally hurt him and they're cruel and heartless. Right. He and Liz deserve each other. I forsee divorce in their future once the thrill of being Mr and Mrs wears off, and the reality of what it is to be married sets in.

*slaps Maria* That's right, just cave to Michael's stupid, petty, jealous demand that Billy leave, and not even rip his head off for the stupid remarks he made to make you feel guilty. *rolls eyes* Good, Maria is starting to get some spine. Grow the rest, girl! Stand up to Michael! Isabel tells the truth w/o telling the Truth. Good girl! "You wanted to talk, which usually means you want to kick my ass, so I brought some friends." Only Michael... Okay, Maria so did not tell him where to stick his behavior. *rolls eyes* I can dig her reasons for breaking up, but...she never tells Michael to get a life! *sigh* All she can tell him is how great he is. Dude...

Valenti grabs the fridge handle with his nasty gloves on? Oh, that is *so* not good! And did he just stuff *lettuce* in the turkey? Must be my week for PMS, 'cause everything is starting to annoy me. Like the way Valenti treats Kyle like a buddy, and not a son. Isabel, there's a name for what you are: Anal Retentive. Chill, chick! Re-lax! I feel so bad for Jesse, having to deal with this. I feel a fight coming on... Gotta love groups of obnoxious, screaming kids. Around the zoo, we call them 'birth control'. Because after seeing these groups in action, your desire to have children decreases. Michael as Santa. "Bring me a brat, Snowflake." yup, that would be Michael. Loving and tender as always. "Looks like Michael finaly found an age group on his level." About the drawing: People, you don't go from drawing numbers to drawing a spaceship like that and *not* have something going on. It's better than *any* kid his age can do. The fine motor coordination requird for a drawing like that, kids don't have yet. DUH? Max, you didn't hurt him. Trust me. Kids with autism are like that. I've worked with one before. They give meaning to the term 'high maintenance'. Stay with him. Valenti, she's way too young. Quit with the midlife crisis thing and the cradle robbing. Amy DeLuca was *much* more your style. And age. Santa, busted making some...'holiday magic' with one of the elves. Mrs. Claus is going to be so devistated! Liz's comment about healing Samuel was *so great*. Give that chick a medal! Liz and Kyle were shot. That, you can heal. Sydney had cancer. That, you can heal. Autism, or any other mental illness...that's a whole different ball of wax. And if Max had 'healed' Samuel, I'd just be , because...dude, the last thing we need is to give the message that it's something that needs healing! That you can just throw a magic bullet at it, and you're 'normal'. Isabel chilled! Samuel...he just doesn't pull off the whole autistic thing in the last Christmas scene. He's just way too in tune with the whole 'angel on top of the tree' thing. Mild autism would be my guess. But if he was so deeply in tune with rocking in the chair, for him to *suddenly* get alert like that to the whole angel thing just doesn't fit. Unless he's being worked by some outside force. And to be hugging his father *and* looking at Max...no. That's multi-tasking, and a kid with autism isn't likely going to be doing that. Actually, the kid was multi-tasking through the entire scene. And as cute as it was to see the dream play out in real life, it just doesn't fit into the reality of autism. The writers dropped the ball on that one. Okay, I'm off my 'mental illness' soapbox. The ice skating scene, with snow, was very sweet. But...ice in a New Mexico winter? So not going to happen! And I just realized I'm watching this on Christmas Eve. What timing!
