OMG. I bet they had the time of their life I am so jealous and wish I had got to go. Ummm... don't want to spoil it, so I'll let MD fill you guys in tomorrow. I know for myself it was one of the most exciting days I've had in a long time. I felt so lucky getting 3 phone calls from Myradith, Denise and AD during the concert. I couldn't really hear her singing, because it was so loud. But I loved getting to talk to each of them and hear all the gossip first hand. Thanks guys for such an awesome experience!

As promised, here is the full report of my experience seeing Majandra at CBGB's! Sorry to say, we did not get arrested, see Brenden, or ask about Nick. But it was still cool. :-)
She played at CBGB's 313 Gallery, which is a very, very small space with a bar, some tables and chairs, and a tiny stage. My friends and I got seats in the back, but we were still very close since it was such a small space.
Our first Maj siting came during the set of the first performer, someone named Jill Gioia. She walked past us and my friends instantly recognized her. I, however, totally looked right at her and didn't notice it was her. Yeah, I'm blind.
We made friends with the people next to us, some girls who say they frequent the WSGAN board. They were very nice, they hated Tess too, even if they were obviously total Pollyannas. Then one of them starts talking about this crazy guy who posts on the board, I think his name's Rick? That was great.
Majandra started her set about an hour late, we think it's because part of her string section showed up late. She had a cellist and a few violinsI think, as well as a guy playing the computer synth stuff and drum machine. Majandra had half her hair pinned back and she looked, well, pretty much the way she does in the show. She was wearing a long jacket thing with buttons and she kept touching herself like she was having cramps. She has really long fingers. She seemed nervous and was kind of giggly. The girls next to us screamed "Maria" and she said something like "It's Majandra." Then someone else at some point shouted something and she was like, "Where's Mikey?" But that was it for people making Roswell references and her getting slightly defensive. She performed Bruises, Tatu (with an extra verse or two), Siren, a new song called something Crack (I forget the exact title) in which she says something about being on crack. Then in another song she says something about taking 50 pills. So, Bunny, there was your shout-out! She also did a very cute cover of Brand New Key (the Rollergirl song from Boogie Nights).
After the show, which lasted a little less than an hour, she signed CDs and posters. The CDs were 6-song EPs. My friends and I all got our CDs signed. I got her to sign mine to MD and the ATL. I made an ATL shirt just to wear last night, with ATL on the front and the A made like an anarchy sign. Majandra wanted to get the autograph right and I told her, ATL, like my shirt, so she drew an anarchy sign for the A too. Well technically it says "MD & thATL, Behave, (heart) MAJANDRA". My friend Denise told her she was so tiny (I didn't think she was that tiny, but Denise is 5'9"), and she was like, you should see Shiri! She apologized because her nose was running and said she was getting over the flu, and I said something like "Majandra cooties!" and she promised she wasn't contagious. Then we all got a picture with her.
So it was nice, she wasn't diva-ish at all, in fact she still seems unused to singing her songs to an audience. She was very nice, talking to everyone getting autographs and stuff. It was cool. And it was really funny meeting other crazy internet people, especially because they knew Rick. :-) It was as exciting to meet them as it was to meet Majandra, in a way.
So that's the report!

Hmm. That's sounds...like it was fine... She wasn't a bitch or a diva or an ass. Wow. I must say, I'm surprised but happy. Anyway, that's for posting the experience.

I am pleasantly surprised at the way she acted. Front other personal encounters I have read online, she always seemed like she would be nasty in person. It's great that you all had a good time.

My guess is that she cares more about her music than her acting career - the other encounters were probably at Roswell-themed events, and she seems much more interested in her music career than in Roswell. Since this was her first NY performance as a musician, and the people attending these shows are her starter fan base, whether they are Roswell fans are not, she probably realizes her music career will be in the toilet if she alienates them (no pun intended.) She did get slightly attitudy when someone yelled "Where's Mikey" and ideally she should have laughed it off rather than repeating it disgustedly. Yes, I'm sure it gets old, but she needs to get over it. It could be so much worse, I mean, I saw Galaxy Quest!

Thank you so much for all the wonderful details. And I am really glad to hear that she was so nice to her fans...even it was because she seems to be more interested in her music than Roswell. Let's be honest...if it wssn't for the show...who would know who she was? I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself too!

I'm not sure if anyone did on this board, but I did get an email earlier from the NYC list and thought it might be of interest. Also, if anyone is in the PA area might be able to help out. Quote: Quote: The concert was really great, she seemed more at ease than she did on Thursday, and I thought she looked awesome.
After the concert I got her to sign the pic that I took of the two of us on Thursday, which was cool. Then I ran into the guy doing her videography and a guy from her production company and they invited me and the two girls I was with to the AFTER PARTY. Totally amazing. Of course I lost my camera so I have no pics from last night, but one of the girls I was with (I met them from FF) took a pic of me and her and Majandra with her digital camera, so hopefully I'll at least have that.
I was there with Majandra and her crew till after 1am, but I had to catch a train at that point so I had to go...but they were going to be leaving too in a few minutes.
It was really amazing to just sit there with Majandra and listen to her talking and hanging out. I really enjoyed meeting everyone who was there that night, and just sitting there at that table with Majandra was very surreal. It was cool, she talked a little bit about her relationship with the different cast members, and she mentioned that they wear A TON of make-up on the show...amongst other things.
Majandra is interested in finding a place to sing, in Philly, but doesn't have a lot of connections there.
I told them I would try to find some help online from the folks in Philly.
If you live in Philly and can do some location scouting, get me some local club names and phone #'s, I am going to pass the info onto Majandra's crew. Maybe we can even get her to have a show the weekend of the Philly Party, if she can find a cool place. Please help me help her! email me, if you want to stay in constant contact with me. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
So I have more Majandra memories than I would have imagined, although I'd still love to just be able to have a one on one conversation with her...and everyone from Roswell!
So that's a short version I suppose about my feelings about last night!

Wow, now I'm jealous. Especially since my friend reminded me afterwards that Majandra was in a scene in Traffic with my favorite boy, Topher Grace. I know, I probably couldn't have said anything to her about him that wouldn't have sounded retarded, but I'm still kicking myself!
