After years and years of trial, error, and deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that there is no need to dress to impress, because the people who are going to care/not care if you're alive because of what you wear aren't worth your time, and those who are worth your time aren't going to care what you wear (as long as the rules of basic hygiene are kept). Why spend the time and energy making yourself look good when no one is going to really care? Or if they do, they don't say anything. And, most of the time, I'm at the zoo or just too tired to really care. I'm dressed, it's clean, and who do I have to impress with my stunning good looks today anyway? *silence* I thought so.

Getting dressed is just too much work. I use to care in high school. But I've come to realize...who cares! As long as I'm comfy, that's all that counts. So, generally, I'm wearing jeans, sweatshirts, and tennis shoes. Very comfy!

Amen! And, right now, there are more important things to care about than impressing people who don't give a rat's rear in the first place.

Exactly! I figure, if people are worth my time, they'll like me for me and not some dressed up version of me.

It is SO NICE to hear someone who agrees with me. I've started to wonder if there's something wrong with me for not wanting to put time into that kind of thing. This is me. Take me as I am, or get out of my face and stop wasting my time. hehehe...

Nope, I'm with ya. I just have the time or the energy to make myself look "pretty." I have more important issues in my life than to worry what other people think. I use to care. But not anymore. Granted, that doesn't mean I'm a total pig! I'm just comfortable...like I said, jeans and sweatshirts.

I got up this morning, and I was like, "Girl, you look totally washed out and monochromatic." So I'm wearing just enough makeup so I look alive. lol

I hate those days when I feel like I'm invisible, totally pale and :barf .
I need preferably one of those sweatshirts with a hood to hide in then ;) ) and leave the house, because there's nothing I can do about myself then. Usually, when I feel good, I can wear pretty much anything, I'll still feel good in it.
I don't have the nerves to spend hours in front of wardrobe and mirror every morning either. I like to be dressed okay though. As long as oneself feels good in one's clothes, it's fine.

Oh..just love those days. I've got alot of Scandinavian blood in me, so I'm generally pale all the time. But I have bad day's too. I went to get my hair cut a couple weeks ago. Here I am sitting in the chair, getting my hair trimmed, minding my own business. And I make the mistake of looking in the mirror. I looked so pale and had such dark bags under my eyes, I honestly thought I was death warmed over! It was horrible!

HAH! You have to make a mental note to yourself next time you go to have your hair cut, which is: Never ever under any circumstances look at yourself in the mirror while you're having your hair trimmed. I always am so shocked when I see myself (with exactly that pale skin and the bags under the eyes you're talking about) that I have to fight the need to crawl under my chair and hide...:)

My normal attire is jeans and t-shirt. I would never ever wear skirts.

Skirts are for church and special occasions. And not always church.
