Not all of my friends are into Dawson's Creek. However, i've managed to influence them by letting them watch season 1, season 5, and season 6. It seems that my friends that are girls all seem to hate joey. To them, joey is the one who ruined the whole relationship and break the group's apart. However, my friends who are guys tend to like Joey and said it wasn't her fault and things just happened. Just want to know what you guys/girls think. Also, whoever responded, let all of us know you're a guy or girl so that I know which one you believe.

I am a girl. I haven't watched season 5 or 6 yet. I am watching them all for the first time as TBS shows them right now. As of right now I still like Joey. I think she carries a lot of baggage that causes her to lash out at the world sometimes. But it is her pain that makes her that way. Maybe I will change my mind when I see season 5 and 6. I don't know what's coming.

Well I have seen every DC ep , and yes you inevitably Hate Joey sometimes she can be a spiteful bitch but then she comes out with her innocent aura and u kinda forget. Like is all about the circumstances, could it be?

Yes, I believe that everything that is wrong with all of our favorite shows can be blamed on the writers.

Joey bugs me. I think she has some serious issues. She is what bugs me most about the D/J/P love triangle. (And I'm not a P/Jer or D/Jer, so there is no bias in my opinion here.) I mean, she is constantly back and forth between the two. In the beginning, she's head over heels for Dawson, then she jumps straight to Jack, and then back to Dawson again, and then to Pacey, and then two seconds after she and Pacey break up, she's back to Dawson, and back and forth and back and forth and it's exhausting! Just my opinion.

I am a girl and i like joey, and i have watched since day one. I don't think she was the one who came between dawson and pacey i kind of think that they just grew apart. oh well just my opinion but i think joey was great.

The way they have handled the Joey character, she seems hartless.
After Pacey was gone she wasted no time before pashing with Dawson and there was no brooding over Pacey at College, she wrote a story about Dawson! ugh!, when she should have been in more pain over Pacey if she REALLY cared about him. Hartless, Hartless. Hartless.

I don't blame anyone for the wedge between Dawson and Pacey, Thats life. Joey had the right to choose who she wanted to be with.
They just should have told him sooner, but being Dawson, it probably would not have made any difference, because its all about him.
I have always found him self absorbed and selfish.

I do have to agree with you some. Towards the last couple seasons it seemed more like Katie's Creek then Dawson's. Granted, I wasn't a huge Dawson fan, but when it come's down to it...the story was his story.
