JOEY: (into phone) Hello? (smiles) Hey you. How was your flight? Okay. I'm just having a drink. An old friend. Gimme five minutes.
She hangs up.
DAWSON: Who was that?
JOEY: My ... boyfriend.
DAWSON: Oh.
JOEY: Fiancé, actually. He just flew in from New York.
DAWSON: Great. I didn't know. But that's great. Seriously. What does he do?
JOEY: He's an attorney. (off his look) What?
DAWSON: Nothing. I guess I just never saw you ending up with a lawyer.
JOEY: He's an environmental rights attorney.
And later on in their conversation...
JOEY: Dawson? I just wanna say something. You and me, we had our shot. And you blew it. So I moved on. You might wanna get on with your life, too. Because this is getting sad. And ridiculous. I just thought you should know that. Take care. (credit TWB at PN)

INT. WBCW - DJ BOOTH - CONTINUOUS
Jen removes her headphones as Jack enters.
JACK: What's up, slut?
JEN: Not much, ya big homo.
JACK: I've got news. Big news.
JEN: Bring it on.
JACK: (proud) four C's and a D!
Jen lights up, thrilled. They hug. Or maybe attempt a high-five that goes amusingly awry due to Jen's non-frat-boy ways. (credit TWB at PN)

***PACEY'S NEW JOB IN CAPESIDE IS A SECURITY GUARD AT CAPESIDE YACHT CLUB. DOUG, WHO WE DO NOT SEE, GOT HIM THE JOB. IN ONE SCENE, PACEY WALKS OVER TO JOEY AND AUDREY. AUDREY LEAVES, AND PACEY AND JOEY TALK ABOUT AUDREY. (credit sharone at FF)
***HERE IS SOME DIALOGUE FROM THAT SCENE:
Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EXT. CAPSESIDE YACHT CLUB (CON'T)
PACEY: Ever the actress, that one.
JOEY: Why don't you go talk to here? She's leaving tomorrow.
PACEY: Jo, I've tried. So many times, so many ways, I must be in danger of breaking some kind of stalking laws.
JOEY: Sounds like it's high time for one of those grand romantic gestures of yours.
PACEY: Sorry to disappoint, sweetheart, but I'm fresh out. Par for the course when you lose your job, your girlfriend and your self-esteem all in a matter of weeks.
JOEY: Which still doesn't explain the rent-a-cop garb.
PACEY: Newest member of the Capeside Yacht Club's security force. Standing right in front of you. Put your hand down, no need to salute.
JOEY: Okay, how does that happen?
PACEY: Like most things in life, it all comes back to Deputy Doug Witter, who not only had managed to secure me gainful employment, he's letting me crash on his couch. Ain't life grand?
JOEY: And the thought of finding the nearest boat and sailing away on it never occurred to you?
PACEY: Don't think I didn't try. I just got around to it a little too late, Looks like we're both stuck in Capeside for the summer.
JOEY: Refresh my memory, Pace --- didn't we once upon a time have actual lives?
PACEY: Maybe you did. I'm starting to think mine was all an illusion. See ya tomorrow?
Joey nods. Pacey slumps off to begin his shift. Joey watches him go for a beat them moves off herself. (credit Jess at PN)

***THIS IS FROM A P/J DOCK SCENE:
Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EXT. CAPESIDE YACHT CLUB NIGHT
Joey sits on the dock reading Dawson's letter. She finishes it, puts in in her pocket. A moment. Pacey walks up.
PACEY: Kind of weird, isn't it? Us. Back here.
JOEY: Yeah, it is.
PACEY: Capeside Yacht Club. Site of many of our greatest knock-down-drag-outs.
JOEY: And our greatest make-ups.
PACEY: Them, too.
He starts to sit down next to her.
PACEY: May I?
JOEY: Sure. But you know, you probably shouldn't get too close to me.
PACEY: Head lice?
JOEY: No. I seem to have fallen victim to the Capeside disease.
PACEY: Which is what exactly?
JOEY: Feeling trapped, feeling sorry for yourself. A sort of general inability to see the future.
PACEY: So in other words ... being a teenager. (off her look) What? You thought it was over? Don't kid yourself. With this whole culture of delayed adolescence bombarding us from every angle, realistically, we can expect to put off adulthood at least, ten, maybe fifteen more years.
JOEY: And we would want to do this because ...
PACEY: Okay, you're right, we wouldn't want to do it. But it is nice to know we can.
A beat.
JOEY: You know, don't take this the wrong way, Pace, but I sometimes think -- despite your penchant for sugar-coated cereals and Saturday morning cartoons -- you may be the most adult person I know. You never look back, do you?
PACEY: Why would I? The future's out there -- and whatever it is -- it's gonna be great.
JOEY: You really believe that.
PACEY: Sure
JOEY: But not for yourself?
PACEY: I don't get it.
JOEY: You're pig-headed, Pacey. And you're fatalistic, and you never want to take help when you need it -- don't bother trying to contradict me because I've earned the right to say these things. (then) You should believe in yourself more, Pace.
PACEY: Okay. Okay. Point taken.
A beat.
JOEY: You miss her, don't you?
PACEY: Audrey? That's not a very appropriate topic, is it? For last year's class couple.
JOEY: Fine. Be that way. (then) Well, I miss her. She changed my life, you know.
PACEY: I know. Of course there is another possibility.
JOEY: What?
PACEY: Maybe you changed it.
JOEY: Yeah, I guess I did. (credit Jess, courtesy of TWB)

***HERE IS A PORTION OF A SCENE WHERE DAWSON AND AUDREY WERE WAITING TO BOARD THEIR PLANE:
Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dawson and Audrey are standing in line to get on the L.A. airplane.
AUDREY: (nervous) Dawson, remember when I said to punch me? Would you do it now?
DAWSON: When we get on the plane, I promise.
AUDREY: Okay.
INTERCOM: We have a courtesy call for Audrey Liddell. Please pick up the white courtesy phone. Thank you.
Audrey looks at Dawson shocked.
AUDREY: Don't you dare get on that plane without me.
Audrey walks to courtesy phone and picks it up.
AUDREY: Audrey Liddell speaking.
VOICE: Hey.
AUDREY: Pacey?
PACEY: Hey it's me.
AUDREY: So, what do you have to say for yourself?
PACEY: I'm sorry.
AUDREY: I don't think that's gonna do it.
PACEY: Well, if you get on that plane then we'll never know.
AUDREY: Yeah. So?
PACEY: Meet me downstairs and we'll talk.
Audrey just stands there for a minute.
AUDREY: That's it? That's your pitch? You're such a lazy romantic, Pacey!
She slams the phone down. (credit cutie_h13 at the DC boards)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Pacey gets on the airport loudspeaker and professes his undying "lust" for Audrey. That is his romantic notion. They drive to California for food and sex. That is what Pacey says, and that is what Pacey wants. (credit sharone at PN)
-Audrey forgives Pacey and goes to find him. She greets him with, "Hey @#%$." (credit sharone at PN)
-Pacey won't allow Audrey to walk out of his life and pleads with her to give them a chance. She and Pacey reunite, and he convinces her to stay with him., but not necessarily to stay in Boston. (credit hoydenish at FF)
-Pacey and Audrey do not go to Philadelphia. (credit Jess at PN)
-Pacey and Audrey do reunite after he "announces to the world" how he feels about her. She still goes to L.A. Pacey joins her to meet her family. (credit hoydenish at FF)
-Pacey does drive Audrey to L.A., but it is never said that he goes to meet her family. It is said that he is taking her, and they are only going to stop for sex and food along the way. (credit Jess at PN)
-There following is a snippet from the script, which is describing P/Aud's reunion kiss:
Quote:

They proceed to make out in that sloppy white trash way only these two can get away with. They break. Audrey sees someone run by. (credit The Wicked Bostonian)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Audrey sees Joey running by, on her way to catch Dawson before he leaves on a plane. (credit sharone at PN)
-Joey is "torn and touched" after she reads a "heartwrenching" letter that Dawson wrote her. (credit hoydenish at FF)
-The letter does confuse Joey and breaks her heart a little bit. However, when the episode ends, Dawson and Joey will be nowhere near each other. (credit Jess at PN)
-Joey buys her own plane ticket with her own credit card, as a way to get into the secured area of the airport. She buys it without any intention of using it, and she may not end up using it. (credit Jess at PN)
-Dawson and Joey do not reunite, but they share a "moment" and then move on. (credit Jess at FF)
-This scene is Co-duh revisited, only it takes place in an airport with a newer, stronger, bolder, and more independent Joey, who has grown up and realizes that Dawson is a permanent part of her life. (credit sharone at PN)
-Joey utters those dreaded three words, "I love you," to Dawson. He tells her to go to California with him. She tells him no, and that it's not their time. (credit Jess at PN)
-Joey tells Dawson that she loves him and to have a safe trip to L.A. without her. It's not an "I'm in love with you," but a simple, "I love you, too." She says this after their "moment." (credit sharone at PN)
-The "moment" is another Dead Fish Kiss from Hell. The "I love you" comes before the kiss. (credit Jess at PN)
-The kiss is scripted as, "A kiss for the ages." (credit sharone at PN)
-Dawson tries to kiss Joey earlier in the episode, but she pulls away. (credit sharone at PN)
-Dawson does go to L.A. (credit karensisco at PN)
-Joey goes to Paris after she and Dawson "share" a moment. (credit hoydenish at FF)
-After Dawson and Joey part ways, both seem sort of relieved. Dawson ends up reassuring a nervous girl on the plane that everything will be okay. Joey is going to return her ticket, but has an epiphany and does something that doesn't involve any of the men in her life. (credit Jess at PN)
***THIS IS A PORTION OF THE SCRIPT FROM THE FINAL SCENE OF THE SEASON:
Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INT. AIRPORT-TICKET COUNTER
Joey reaches the front of the line yet again.
JOEY: Fully refundable, right?
COUNTER GUY: You bet. (then) Shame you can't us this. Paris is supposed to be amazing in the spring.
JOEY: (sighs) Yeah ... that's what I hear.
A moment.
And then ... an odd look crosses her face.
Why can't she?
What's stopping her?
She looks up at this guy, this total stranger, and her smile lights up the screen ...
And this is where we leave her ... Joey Potter ... in the middle of this gateway to the world, the past finally behind her, and nothing but future for miles and miles and miles ... (credit TWB at PN)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-All of the main cast has scenes at the airport. (credit hoydenish at FF)
-There is only one reunion. The finale leaves a lot of doors open for Season 6. (credit Jess at PN)
-There is a lot of Pacey in the finale. He and Audrey only have three scenes together, two of which are very short. (credit Jess at PN)
-Some people may be heading west, some east, and some overseas... some of the spoilers floating around out there are false. Don't assume that all of the characters are jet-setting it. Planes, trains, and automobiles are involved. "With much eating (take that as you may) involved." (credit the ever-cryptic Wicked Bostonian)
