It's coming. It can't be stopped. It can't be averted. It's the end of an era. I made a promise a long long time ago that I'd be at Buffy's side till the last vampire had been slain. And here I am. The finale season. The final challenge has presented itself in the path of the Chosen one. And it will be put down like all the rest. But this time it'll be different, it'll be her final fight against the forces of evil. I've watched this girl for 7 years. She's been my world. When I went to college and was faced with the rough transition, I had to dig out season 4 to see Buffy struggling through the same things I was and it helped me get through it. She wasn't just this little show that only about 5 million people ever had the pleasure of seeing, She was an icon. A hero. She proved time and again that the odds can be stacked against us and that we can still endure and prevail over the darkness. I remember all the way back to her first season, checking and re-checking TV guide news to see if she would be back the following fall. I was beyond pleased with the first season. I still, and always will, consider Season one Buffy's finest hours. Her epic struggle against the Master was the stuff of TV legend. And this season has carried on the tradition. Above all Buffy was a role model for a lot of people. A few years back I received a WWBD dog tag, which stood for What Would Buffy Do. I've worn that thing through so many experiences the entire time wondering What she would do if faced with the same situation. And I'll continue to wonder what she would do long after May 20th. And I'll take this opportunity to say I've thoroughly enjoyed posting with you guys. This experience would not have been as fun and fulfilling without the late night posts, the afternoon spoiler searches, or the heated debates in chat. It's been a very unique experience and I feel that is what Joss wanted above all, and he succeeded beyond probably even his wildest imaginings. These last seven years have been a remarkable and amazing experience and have truly been a landmark of great television. And when the end comes, I'll be ready to say goodbye to a dear friend that just happened to save the world...a lot.Farewell Buffy, it's been both an honor and privilege to make your acquaintance. Slay cool.

Definitely a one track mind, Desireable. You'll probably be happy to hear that James Marsters has been approached and has agreed to move on to Angel after Buffy concludes (assuming Angel returns for it's 5th season). I think it's going to be interesting seeing Spike and Angel interact now that they're both soulful. Alyson Hannigan has also signed on to be part of Angel's new and improved fang gang. Nicholas Brendon was also approached, but refused. He's apparently ready to move on past the Buffyverse. Still no word on a spin-off as yet though. Time's running out for Team Whedon. If they haven't made a decision yet, they should soon. Like all things in the Buffyverse, we'll just have to wait and see how it all turns out at the 11th hour.

Wow! I did not know that both Spike and Willow will be making the move to LA. Interesting. It should be very interesting to see how Angel and Spike do interact because of their souls. Desireable...I'm with you there! Seth, James, David...*sigh* But think about it, if both Allyson and James go to Angel. Brendan is done with Buffy as a whole. Why would they do a spin-off? Angel already is the spin-off. Right?

I'm still down for a spin-off. It's a good idea, because if a new spin-off does well enough it'll prove that the Buffyverse can sustain all types of shows, kinda like what Star Trek has become. Granted I've never watched an episode of any Trek series, but I do respect what they've done with it. They've had what... like 5 series out of it? And each of them lasted more than three seasons each, so that's a lot of trekking. I'd love for the Buffyverse to be able to do that. It just seems so deserving. It's such an interesting world, it deserves the attention. I'm hoping they pull out a "tales of the slayer", a "Kennedy" or a "Slayer/ Watchers Academy" deal at the last minute. I think the last one would be cool because it's clear that the watcher's council will have to be rebuilt and it's beginning to look like all the potential slayers are going to come into their powers a little earlier than expected, so it makes sense. Besides it would be cool to see young watchers in trainning. Plus it sets the stage for a Watcher/Slayer pairing . I mean if they're around the same age and they're forced to work together, "stuff" could ensue. It's just an idea. I'm really hoping Joss is planning something... cause the WB can't be trusted. Angel may last into his 5th season, but what about the 6th? The WB will ditch him first chance they get. He's too Dark and broody for what they're going for. They want light family dramas and teen angst stuff. Angel is neither to the untrained eye, but we all know different. Angel has a very well structured family unit...that sometimes goes evil and occasionally saves the world and anyone that says Angel doesn't have teen angst hasn't set their sights on Conner. He's got more angst than the entire populace of Dawson's creek.Somehow though I bet the WB will fail to see these things come fall 2005 .Tick tock Tick Tock Joss...make it HAPPEN!

Well, for all us Roswell fans, we all know how intelligent the WB is...and for that fact, UPN as well. To be honest with you, I really would be surprised if Angel lasts much longer. Not because the shows sucks...it doesn't, but because the network has their head so far up their ass they don't know which way is up. Dawson is done at the end of this season. They lost Roswell and they lost Buffy. All of their shows are either gone or going. It leaves them with Angel, Charmed, and Seventh Heaven. If they have any intelligence what-so-ever, they'll keep Angel another couple years to keep the fan base that will obviously flow over from the lack of Buffy. If James and Allyson are really going over to Angel, I think it will really boost Angel's ratings. So, the WB would be idiots to get rid of it. But, as I've stated...they are idiots. So...

It came from the top of the food chain. Joss Whedon, the man himself, announced there would be no spin-off this year. He went on to say that they still would like to do one in the future but feel it is not the appropriate time for one. I can't blame him, with all the shows getting axed just as they leave the gate and all. A few prime examples are "Birds of Prey"and the newest addition to the list of the fallen, "Miracles." It's a truly dark time for supernatural dramas. With Buffy hanging up her stake in May, it can only get worse. So it'll probably be best if they wait a year or 2 for this reality TV craze to die down, before they launch a new show. Maybe it'll arrive after Angel inevitably hits the cancellation wall. That way a new show could contain both Angel and Buffy regular cast members centered around a known individual title character or a new character that crawls out of Joss' head to play.Either way Angel keeps looking better and better over at the WB. Sources have said that he's nearly nabbed his 5th season, while Buffy only has 5 episodes remaining. Gonna miss that girl.

Something, anything with James and/or Alyson is good... or even Amber Nick, too. Yes, the WB sucks. Plain and simple. The only good thing about them is Charmed, because Charmed kicks ass. And if Charmed is cancelled or moved... I'm going to be pretty pissed off.

Black Sash is pretty decent too. I used to watch Charmed, but I just lost interest. I tried watching it with Rose McGowan, but I found I missed Shannon Doherty's "Prue" too much. Plus Phoebe was never my favorite to begin with and I noticed through the course of this season she's been getting a large chunk of the screen time, so it just began to not work out for me. I still feel it's a good show, just not one I continue to watch religiously.Angel is a different story altogether. I'll only let that show go when the WB comes and peels me off of it with a cancellation notice crowbar. Till then... I'm there. Pretty much just Angel and Black Sash for me. I really wish they'd create another supernatural show that deals maybe with werewolves or something. Cause once Angel and Charmed go, they're not going to have anything for the "fang gangers" like you and me to watch. It'll pretty much just be Everwood, Smallville, Gilmore Girls, and 7th Heaven, which is just wrong, cause some of us like a little mayhem and carnage with our TV dinners.

The WB would still be useful though, it would probably put sleeping medication out of business.Only 5 episodes remain and each sounds to be beyond impressive. Caleb and Faith arrive in the next episode and it sounds like they both stick around till the finale. I've given up all hope of seeing previous season's big bads. I was hoping the First would have a final throw down against Buffy wearing the faces of some of her fiercest enemies. However, this seems unlikely at this time. A good point to make though is that there's a bit of info flying around that Joss has been filming unscripted scenes and alternate endings to keep us spoiler crazy freaks busy guessing how the last episode will go. So any spoilers heard about the finale episode are pretty much crap. I'm very happy with his decision to do things this way. I usually know everything that happens on Buffy a few days before it occurs, but I promised myself I'd stay away from the spoilers about the finale. But like a junkie begging for more smack I kept going back to see if spoilers for episode 22 were there. So I'd like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU JOSS! for saving me from myself. One thing about the finale does seem to be happening for sure..."In every generation, there is a chosen one. She alon...err is no longer alone." Apparently every potential slayer on the planet is going to come into the strength and heritage of the slayer line simultaneously. A theory I have is that the first must do something so bad that it's too much for just one girl, and it requires and army of slayers to put down. This will definitely make for a hell of a battle. Plus with an entire generation of slayers, maybe Buffy can now get a chance to be a normal girl like she always wanted.Or at least semi normal...

Its sad to think that there will be no more Buffy. I started watching during the second season and was hooked from the first episode that I saw. I think that its great that Spike and Willow will move to Angel if it is renewed. I haven't kept up with Angel, but I will definitely want to check it out with Angel and Spike interaction.

What was the first ep you saw Sable? Just kinda curious, cause they're were some bona fide classics in season 2. I was rifling through my DVD of season 2 last night just to watch the last part of Becoming part one when the vamps attack the library and Drusilla killed Kendra. That scene has remained one of my favorites throughout the entire seven year run. Also the sword fight between Buffy and Angel was a spectacular ending that year. It really set the bar for Buffy finales, which have somewhat slacked after season 3. I hated "Restless",which was the ending of season 4 where they all were in wacky dreamland getting "killed" by the first slayer. I liked "The Gift", but felt Glory went down too easy being a God and all. And the Dark Willow eps were great, but lacked that sense of suspense and action that one felt when watching Buffy fight Faith in Graduation day part one. Don't get me wrong, I love each and every episode of BTVS. I'll cry like a little girl when she's gone and I'll probably end up posting how much I love "Restless" after it's all said and done.

That's very accurate.Nineteen down. Three to go. Looks like the next episode can be called the "we screwed" episode. Faith & Wood, Anya & Xander, Willow & Kennedy all getting down. Surprisingly enough it looks like Spike & Buffy just cuddle. But they got more action in season 6 than anybody, so in a round-a-bout way it probably evens the scales.I hope Caleb is in the next ep more than the last. He was in "Empty places" for what FIVE MINUTES between both scenes! It was more or less a Faith/Buffy human conflict episode. Caleb was more or less in the ep just to remind us he was there. I'm having problems with the Caleb not killing Buffy when he has had the chance twice. I realize the First wants her alive for some reaon, because way back in "Showtime", It was even instructing the ubervamp to "take em all, except for HER!" So Buffy must have some part to play in the the First's plan. Cause Caleb could have and would have killed her by now if the First hadn't "muzzled" him. I'm guessing the first never watched re-runs of the campy Batman show from the 60s. If it had it would have realized that if you leave the hero alone long enough, they're going to escape your trap and wreck your plans. It's common super-villain logic...or it should be.

What are the shitty networks doing to us?!?! First Roswell now Buffy, if Angel gets cancelled im gonna kick some ass! It's not fair! I 've been watching Buffy since the beginning and the ending will have crying like a baby. I'm still trying to get over the cancellation of Roswell. I might go on a strike and stop watching television altogether!
