Okay, I've bought the book today and figured for the heck of it I would post a general summary for each chapter here. Maybe someone will enjoy it.

*note* I will not leave anything important out, ie. it will contain spoilers. The intention of me writing this is for the people who don't have the time to read a whole book or have the money or what ever and just want a simple summary of what the book is about from beginning to end.

*disclaimer* I own nothing.No infringement intended. I'm just summarizing the basic points of the book. Don't sue.

*Timeframe* I will try to read a minimum of 1 chapter a week and post on it. Some weeks maybe more, some less. Time depending on my busy schedule.

Last but not least.. if anyone enjoys this idea please let us know and maybe we could do summaries of other books as well.

Chapter One..

We learn that Sydney (Bristow) has a sort of best friend Francie Calfo and met her over the summer at the orientation thing at her school. She is going to UCLA (college).It introduces a character named Baxter which Francie has been dating for a few weeks. It starts with them at lunch on campus talking about electives and how Francie is telling Syd she should of taken "fun" classes for electives not two foreign languages. But Syd loves the languages and feels its one thing she is good at. She also gives us insight that she wants to be a teacher although she doesn't feel that works for a major. She explains that there are thousands of people there all different types but so far has only really met 3. Francie, Baxter, and Todd (a friend from Track). She starts to imagine what her mom was like (Laura Bristow) who was also a teacher at that very college. Francie thinks thats the only reason Syd wants to be one, and Syd thinks she might be right. It goes on to tell us that her mom died when she was 6. Her parents went to a movie and another car swirved into the lane and they went over the bridge. Her father lived and mother died. Ever since then her dad was disconnected to her so she basically didn't know either of them. She tells us a few memories she has from her mom and dad from earlier in her childhood.

Then it goes into her and Francies speech about the dance coming up and also expains that not only are they friends but roommates. So basically, Syd has been eyeing this really cute guy in one of her classes and Francie convinces her to go up to him and ask him to the dance. She gets up the courage and goes over and asks him.. although he doesn't seem to know who she is and she gets embarrassed and runs back to Francie. Then it shows a bunch of "cool kids" go up to him and they are all staring and laughing at Syd. They also search the newspaper ads for a job for Syd to no avail, then Francie tells her she can get her the job at the restaurant she works at; so they can waitress together...

Okay, I have read up to Chapter 3 and will post it a little later.. I just thought I would give everyone the heads up that I did flip through (of course) the whole book and did not see a mention of Will or Vaughn in it.
