Jennifer Garner Files for Divorce

HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) - It hasn't been a good past few days for Scott Foley.

On Monday (May 12), NBC failed to pick up his comedy TV series "A.U.S.A." and three days earlier his wife of two-and-a-half years, "Alias" star Jennifer Garner, filed for divorce.

The couple announced their separation on April 1, but in the court papers filed by Garner on Friday, she listed March 23 as the official date that things went bust, the same day she attended the Academy Awards as a presenter alone.

The official cause of the break-up is the classic standby, "irreconcilable differences," but rumors have circulated for weeks that the demands of her rising stardom didn't allow for the couple to spend much time together.

Garner and Foley met in 1998 on The WB drama "Felicity" when Garner guest-starred as Hannah, the longtime girlfriend of Foley's Noel. She has sinced moved on to the hit ABC TV series, and has starred in the hit films "Daredevil" and "Catch Me If You Can." She will next be starring in a "Daredevil" spinoff based on her character in the film, Elektra.
