The LO scenes were from season 2, so it did nothing for me. LOL I was like "I remember that!"

LOL That's how I feel too. All the people that I LOVED posting with about the show gave it up(okay, most of them did; those who still watch are Jack fans and I'm not, so very little to discuss there), but then I accidentaly came across this board and that just thrills me. Someone to bitch about the show with. Eeee!

What does the show have to do to make this a successfull conclusion? I mean beyond bringing MV back for more than a few episodes.

Yeah and JG has to go find her acting chops again too. Because if she continues on like she has this season(and, last season), our beloved VSR is up the creek without a paddle.

Actually, I noticed a total difference at the beginning of the last season too. When she and BA were dating and that was supposedly when Assfleck was hanging around the set and they were all googly-eyed and stuff... it wasn't until mid-season that I noticed things were beginning to return to how they were before, then JG was noticably knocked up and things went to hell in a hand basket again. LOL

I actually thought both MV/JG did a great job in episode 1 of this season. The chemistry was back and they looked happy and in love and I didn't feel any weird vibes, even in scenes about the baby... but then MV was gone and there was barely any mention of Vaughn and JG's acting was just wretched. You'd never know that Sydney lost her soulmate. The writing has been bad, but I don't think JG has done anything... even if it isn't written on the page or whatever, she could still act sad and mournful, which we rarely got.

It's just so frustrating. I guess I expected more from her because prior to the BA crap, she has always been able to rise above whatever crap she was given, but then maybe... she believes she's bigger than Alias now that she is Mrs. Ben Affleck... I mean that's been her goal since they did DareDevil together. (Okay, that last part is just gossip and rumour, LOL... )

It wasn't even killing Vaughn that killed the show for me, it was the WAY it was done. I mean he was shot, like twenty or fifty times. It was as if the show was saying HE IS NOT COMING BACK(obviously that changed, but NOTHING will EVER convince me he was meant to come back. Not after that bloodbath) and JG's acting showed that. My friends and I have discussed this before, but sometimes, we wonder if maybe JG really has to feel something towards her co-star in order to be believable. She doesn't miss MV, so neither does Sydney. I don't know. Just makes you wonder.

As for her professionalism, it's probably the BA affect. He is totally unprofessional and it's rubbed off on her. I wouldn't be surprised if he fed her all kinds of stories that she's bigger than Alias and shouldn't be wasted on television; that she's a huge STAR, but none of the flicks she's done on her own have done anything, so she isn't. Oh, well...

Yeah, I didn't get that part either. I mean people have survived some pretty amazing things before, but... I have never heard of someone surviving that many bullets...

They probably wanted to give fans a few more VSR moments before... well, that and have Vaughn suck from the cup of magic(which I assume was to mislead fans into thinking SEE? He can still be alive).

That could be it too, but I wonder if maybe Jack or someone put something in that cup, so as to be able to really fake his death. Remember when they faked Sloane's death? Something like that. He would flatline, everyone would think he was dead and a few minutes later, they'd be able to get his heart beating again.

Okay, I have no idea if that's possible, but it's television, so whatever... LOL

I'm NOT sure how accurate this is, but it comes from pretty reliable spoiler sources, but way back in the summer when we first heard about everything, I remember reading something about there being an OPEN CASKET funeral, but the fan outrage had them scrambling, so I tend to think the cup 'o water was meant, like you suggested, but it was also meant to lead us on, into thinking there is more to it than we know.

Couple it with the way Sydney occassionally talked about Vaughn. She NEVER talked about his death, just that he should be there, ect, ect. Again, to leads us on.

I honestly think, like I've said before, they were truly whacking Vaughn, hence all the shots, but changed their minds when fans wouldn't shut up, all the press the campaigns got. If the intent was to 'confuse' fans, you'd think they'd have tried something else. You know like the car crash, the car going over a cliff with Vaughn in it... something like that. Having him shot fifty times in THE CHEST is not it...

I'm just talking myself into believing he is really dead, so when he turns up dead, I won't go postal and when he turns up alive, I'll be elated...

But Evil Francie was evil and a robot. LOL

I did read in Kristin's little spoiler thingy on E! that MV was supposed to be back for three episodes. Lovely. 3 episodes. I truly hate this show.

With our luck, it'll turn into one scene in the finale. LOL That's how this show is going for us so far!

*sigh*

Oh and she didn't know whether he would dead, alive or what. I swear JJ probably doesn't know either.
