I'm thinking no. I was hoping that at the very end there, she tossed the ball up and kind of turned her head to the side, that they were going to show her seeing Vaughn, but alas, they ended the eppy.

Sorry I'm not Rebel, but I still wanted to throw in my two cents!

So I saw "The Enemy Walks In" yesterday, my first eppy ever (bad choice for a first eppy, but screw that), and as predicted, I didn't get half of what was going on:

So Sydney didn't know her Mom till then, or was that kind of a re-telling S1, kinda like they did in Roswell with Max where he told the therapist everything that happened in order to get the audience filled in on what happened? And I find it kinda curious that Syd and her Dad work together...And the whole SD-6 thing is making my head spinning. Is Bristow an undercover agant there as well, or just Syd?

And I thought it was kinda funny that, in France, they were having a party upstairs, while in the basement, there was this freaky doctor (K - something, can't recall) was preparing to slice Vaughn's chest open. Uh-huh. Perfect setting for whatever he was going to do. What the hell was he going to do anyway? :dunno

Stalker- first I have to say Yay! You took the plunge and watched your first eppie! :clap :clap :clap

But you missed THE most important part of the whole episode. Vaughn and Syd towards the end. Right after she rescues him and they are hiding behind the bushes and he SO wants to kiss :kiss her. :lol :lol Didn't you see that part? How great was that? :thud

Okay, I don't even know all those answers myself.. but
yeah your comparison is right. That was exactly what they were doing. Trying to give an overview of what happened the prior season.

Her mom was supposed to be dead all this time. Since she was about six. Now she reappears and never really drowned.

The most confusing part at first for me was also figuring out the difference between SD6 and the CIA. She does work for both. She's a double agent. So is her father. He works for both also.

SD6 are the "bad" guys. She works for them. Goes on the missions they set for basically.

CIA is the one that Vaughn is her agent. She also works on them. So when the SD6 gives her a "bad" mission , the CIA "Vaughn" gives her a counter mission to get them the info and usually give SD6 fake info on her return.

Cory can probably explain this a lot better. All I know is the more you watch the more you begin to understand. I'm halfway threw this season and I finally get it. So give yourself like 6 more episodes.;)

No, Syd didn't know it was he rmom until then. I think there was a *brief* bit of overlap from the ender to S1, but nothing to the extent of 'Roswell'.

The story with Syd and her dad. Jack has been working for SD-6 and the CIA for years as a mole in SD-6. The truth of what Jack does was kept from Syd for years. When Syd was a freshman in college, SD-6 recruited her under the guise that it was a black ops unit for the CIA. Fast forward to (I think) her first year of grad school. She gets engaged, tells her fiancee the truth of what she does, the fiancee gets offed by SD-6, and Syd finds out the truth about SD-6 and that her dad is working for them (she still doesn't know he works for the CIA). She is, to put it mildly, really POd with SD-6 for offing her fiancee, and she feels betrayed, so she heads to the CIA to offer her services as a mole. She's accepted, and Vaughn is assigned as her handler. She finds out at that point that her father is also a mole in SD-6. So father and daughter are both working for the CIA as moles in SD-6, and to the outside world, both work for a bank called Credit Dauphine. Or at least that's her cover. Not sure what his is.

Any other questions? :grin

Bunnie - Of course I didn't miss that part! It was pretty cool, I just wish he had done it! :grin Yes, okay, I know they're not allowed to have a realtionship.

It kinda bugs me that Syd's Mom is a bad guy. I love Lena Olin. :cry

This show has to be great because of the cast. Victor Garber? :love the dude!

So- Stalker, do you get to see it on Sunday nights with us--or only on the net? :dunno

And yes, S&V are getting much closer this Sunday! Have you seen any promos for it? :dunno

Cory - Um, yeah. No comment on that one. :o

Bunnie - Unfortuantely, only the net will give me my episodes. I'm close to having 101 and 202 down, so...yeah, more Alias to come. The files are HUGE, so it takes me a while to get them. :) I haven't seen any promos so far...shall I try to? Since I'm just getting started I'm currently trying to get a grip on the storyline! :grin

Stalker- this is were we are at. This is the promo for tomorrow nights show-

Lovers Mission Ep

I have to hit the open button (not the save) and then click on the logo and then it says (for me anyway) a dropdown box I have to check off the "remind me later" option and then hit finish button- and then it plays. ;)

So you are going to watch the Season Premiere then?

Still haven't watched that one, but I'm just back from seeing "Trust Me". At least now I know what Zook was constantly talking about when she mentioned people from Alias being on Roswell! :lol It's Kendall/ Carl, and those two tourists in the Pilot, right? Vicki "with an i" and that guy, whatever his name is, the Alias version of James Bond's Q.

I think I will never be able to get 100% into Alias though, it's just too many needles. Every single episode there are at least three different people being injected with whatever it is...Ugh. Makes my stomach have serious issues.

Lena Olin is so cool. It's slightly unnerving because you really don't get to know whether she is to be trusted or not. well, I don't know, that is. You guys probably already know what she's up to.
Oh, and Syd comes back from Helsinki still all dressed up from her mission and with the fake hair? Yeah, sure. I would like to have her job though. Always running around in disguise must be fun. And she gets to kick her agressions away. Man, that's what I'd call therapy. :)

Actually, Stalker...we still don't really know what Irina is up to. She has proven herself over and over to the CIA by helping them, but...ya never know!
Oh, and the needles...I never noticed that there were that many. I guess there are!

Oh, yes, there are. I just wanted to throw up when Sloane (that's his naem, right?) was injected at the Alliance thing in London. :barf

Okay, question: Irina, if that's Syd's mother, and Syd just said in 202 that her mother was Laura Bristow and died in, what was it, a car crash or so? Did she change her name, or what? :dunno

Laura is the name Irina used when she was in the US posting as a lit professor. The only mother Syd knew was Laura Bristow, the lit professor. In reality, the woman is Irinia Devrenko (sp?) who was a spy for the KGB and is/was The Man. The car crash was just a cover so that Irina could escape from the US undetected.
