I know. That was my reaction too. WTF? They said they couldn't keep the seperated when they were both on the show and how rewarding would that be at the end... I was like "That was the best fucking excuse you could come up with for a heniously bad decision?" Whatever.
JG didn't help with her comments about how when everyone was so upset about Vaughn, she said she kept thinking "... but he's coming back! Michael is doing a movie!" A movie offer he got AFTER he was fired; he was NEVER supposed to come back, so how the hell did she know? Oh, that's right... she needs to keep looking lily white. Whatever.

It is so, so, so sad. I just wish they'd recognize that killing Vaughn off for 90% of the season was a bad idea. If they would I'd get over my bitterness, but instead we get all those lameass excuses. I mean if the writer had said that and then added, but it was a bad idea, I'd have been fine. But no...
And, JG pissed me off 'cause that was a blantant lie; it wasn't the reason MV wasn't on the show, but whatever... I need to let go. LOL MV was interviewed in the magazine and it was pretty good. There was a picture of him and JG filming and they seemed like they were getting a long pretty well too; they were both smiling. So, at least when he came back, they were on good terms.

It's not like they have to say "JG wanted Vaughn dead because her hubby was uncomfortable..." or anything; just say "It sounded better in theory than in practice and we made a mistake!" How hard is that? It's not like you have to lay the blame on JG's doorstep or anything.
Dumbasses, but they probably figure it would be too obvious, so LIE!

It's very sad.
Are you buying the DVDs for season 5? I've heard Rachel Nichols is all over it... so, I'm staying away. I HATED her.

You live in the states right? If so, I think you get FOX's repeats of Alias... anyways, I was watching it last night. It's airing season 3(Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!) and it was the North Korean episode where Syd tells Vaughn she boffed Will and later, they shared that kiss... man, they USED to be so good. Even the Lauren crap didn't ruin them...
It just showed that years removed season three wasn't that henious.

Amazing, isn't it? When season 3 was happening we all thought it was so horrible and it sucked compared to season 2 (which it did) but it was soooo much better then what was to follow! So much!

I know; I hated season three so much and I still can't look at Lauren without twitching, LOL, but my God, it was so much better than season 5. Season 4... I'm hoping to see again on FOX, LOL.
Nothing could compare to seasons 1 and 2 though. That was television at it's very most brilliant and why we all watch television.

I agree whole-heartedly. Alias was the best tv those first two seasons. Great acting, great writing, awesome concept all around. Original. Just great! And then season 3 came...
|

And, it became pathetic, unoriginal, tripe crap...
but I'd take that season 3 crap over season 5. Even though season 5 was closer to what made Alias Alias, it lacked the heart and soul of seasons 1 and 2, so it was all in all a complete and total failure for me. But at least we got the happy ending, I guess...
