Ok...here's some info about all the Alias Prequel books from Amazon.com.
1.) Alias:Recruited Grade 8 Up-This work of contemporary suspense is a prequel novel, based on the enormously popular Alias TV series. Brainy but socially inept Sydney Bristow is a freshman at UCLA, where she plans to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a teacher. It's not long, however, before she begins questioning her reasons for wanting to teach. Meanwhile, she strikes out with a cute guy, gets fired the first day on a job, and spends a lot of time pitying herself. Then, a recruiter mysteriously appears from an organization Sydney believes is the CIA. With an offer to become a secret agent, she can move in a different, and far more exciting, direction. She is not quick to give up her old life, however. Half the book is over before she decides to accept the offer. It's understandable: the penalty for deserting, should she want out, is certain death. Also, she is not allowed to tell anyone about the offer. Readers are into the final quarter before Sydney becomes embroiled in heart-stopping danger, but they should feel that the payoff is worth the wait. While the prose and the plot development are workmanlike, the intended audience won't care. Because of its connection to the TV show, even reluctant readers should devour this one.
2.) Alias:A Secret Life It's Sydney Bristow's first missionin Paris. Her first alias. Her first real enemy. Her first real crush. And her first big mistake. There are a lot of firsts for Sydney. But no second chances.
3.) Alias:Disappeared A crumbling Gothic mansion on a craggy Scottish isle. A secret meeting among the world's most powerful underground organizations. And lots of bad blood.Sydney's sent by SD-6 to pose as the heiress of a former ruling family of Romania now mixed up in the black market. Except instead of collecting intelligence, something goes very wrong. One by one people end up disappearing. Gone. Vanished. When someone is found, they're dead. Will Sydney be the prime suspect . . . or the newest victim?
The Newest Release: 4.) Alias:Sister Spy Alpha Kappa Chi sorority sister Jen Williams has recently died of natural causes. Turns out that Jen was also a rookie agent for SD-6. AKX is spending spring break in Waikiki, and Jen was supposed to undertake an important mission for SD-6 there. But now Jen is dead, and it's up to Sydney to infiltrate the sorority and carry out Jen's Hawaiian mission . . . and find out what really happened to her sister spy.

Yeah, I noticed that too. In the show they don't show her as that insecure.. rather the opposite really IMO. Especially with the job. In the book she seems afraid- but in the show she thinks like she can do it all and beat the system.

Oh and I forgot- You should probably just hold onto it for awhile longer until I move and then I'll send you my new address so it doesn't get lost in the mail somewhere.. since I'm not sure when I'm out of here.

Jen... you must of posted at the same time I did! Cause I just posted about the new book. Anyway, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw that in the book. So far, it seems like the show and the book go well together. I wonder if the author and JJ talked so the story would be accurate.

I finally finished reading Recruited. Like it! I was wondering if the hunky SD-6 guy was Noah...and sure enough. Thanks for letting me read it, Jen! Now I have to get the second one!

Jen, actually there are three of them now...including the one you have. Noah is the guy she meets at the end of that first book. He shows up on the show mid-season one as a former love interest and an agent of SD-6. Sydney goes on a mission with him and ends up having to kill him.
