Welcome to Forever Dreaming, luvers9! :welcome

It's hard to say...from the preview, it's look like they might kiss, but :dunno

I'm thinking this "date" is a mission for the CIA, and it just happens to work great for the S/V shippers cause that's what we've (and S/V) have wanted since day one!

I think it will show Syd and Vaughn getting really close - almost *about* to kiss and *bam!* they get interrupted or they fade to black or something. I'll bet anything. The famous "tease" lines we've all seen a thousand times before on virtually every show. :lol :lol :rollin

Wow, I just found this board and it has my three favorite couples, L&M from Roswell, S&V from Alias and L&J from GH.

At this point I am happy that Vaughn and Syd are both even considering being together. Alias is my fix for my couples since L& J from GH are just breaking my heart right now and I can't even bear to watch him with ******

OK...here's what I'm thinkin'. Sydney is a very moral person...even considering her job...and so is Vaughn. In order for her to even think about considering taking the restuarant owner up on his offer for a room for S/V, Vaughn would of had to tell her something. In other words, I wonder if he explains Alice tomorrow.

Herc's Seen ALIAS 2.12!

Alias 2.12 FAQ

What's it called?

"The Getaway."

Who's responsible?

Teleplay is credited to Jeff Pinkner ("Page 47," "Time Will Tell").

What does TV Guide <tvguide.com/> say?

"Syd and Vaughn's risky rendezvous while on a mission in France
threatens to expose their CIA covers to SD-6; Jack enlists Irina in his
efforts to outwit Kane, who targets another Bristow in her hunt for
Sloane's blackmailer. Kane: Faye Dunaway. Emily: Amy Irving. Weiss: Greg
Grunberg."

Hey, wasn't Faye Dunaway in "The Getaway"?

No. That was Ali McGraw. Dunaway and "Getaway" star Steve McQueen
starred together in both "The Towering Inferno" and "The Thomas Crown
Affair."

The big news?

Remember that needle the Alliance stuck in Sloane's neck when he was
initiated? We learn all about that this week.

What is Syd thinking, hooking up with Vaughn in public?

"The nearest alliance cell is in Zurich. The CIA tracks SD-6 security
section. There haven't been any signals, no movement," rationalizes
Vaughn. "We've been to restaurants and sat near each other. We've met in
parks and convenience stores, and all of them in L.A., Where we are much
more likely to be seen. Two things -- one, I think it's not that great a
risk, and two, I am hungry. I'm starving. I mean, we're going to be
together anyway. Why can't we be eating? Aren't you hungry?"

What about Vaughn's girlfriend Alice?

Alice is mentioned.

Is it a real date?

It is a real date. Wine is swilled. Syd looks pretty in the candlelight.
The restaurant's owner feels the chemistery and comes to the table with
an offer: "It is too late for you to set out for L'avignon and, uh, you
had much to drink. Upstairs, I have an inn, and tonight, you are my
guests. Please. Take your time. Merci." He leaves the room key on the
table.

Do Syd and Vaughn agree to utilize the hotel room upstairs? Together?
Nakedly?

They do.

Amy Irving's back? Do we get to see Emily Sloane's dismembered hand?

She's definitely short a finger.

Does Jack get out of his pickle because Emily clears him?

No.

Do we learn if Emily staged her own kidnapping? Because she didn't seem
to be in anybody's custody when Arvin spotted her shortly after he
"killed" her.

We do.

Was Emily an Irina-like superspy all along?

That would be telling.

Weiss is back to say goodbye? Isn't he starring in a midseason sitcom?

No, he seems to be back for good. Maybe Weiss dies next week. Maybe
NBC's "It's Not About Me" already shot its order for the season.

What about Will Tippen? Is he adjusting well to his new life as a CIA
analyst?

Bradley Cooper gets to sit out the this week's episode. As does David
Anders, if anyone's keeping track.

Speaking of Sark, do we learn this week what was on that piece of paper
Sark gave Sloane last month?

Not this week.

What else is TV Guide not telling us?

What Vaughn tells Syd is wrong.

What's good?

The big Syd-Vaughn date and its aftermath. The No Doubt song that plays
as Syd strips down to her bra at the metal detector. Marshall's gift to
Dixon. What we learn about the Arvin. The reveal with Emily.

What's not so good?

No Rambaldi stuff, and we don't get to see what's up with Will next week
either, as ABC is rerunning "Cipher." Also? Tonight's "big surprise" was
actually pretty predictable - I saw it coming at the end of last season.

How does it end, spoiler-boy?

On a close-up of Emily Sloane's hand.

What was that prophesy again?

"This woman here depicted will possess unseen marks, signs that she will
be the one to bring forth my works. Bind them with fury. A burning
anger, unless prevented. At vulgar cost, this woman will render the
greatest power unto utter desolation."

Herc's rating for "Alias" 2.12?

***1/2

The Hercules T. Strong Rating System:

* ***** better than we deserve

* **** better than most motion pictures

* *** actually worth your valuable time

* ** as horrible as most stuff on TV

* * makes you quietly pray for bulletins

9 p.m. Sunday. ABC.

I am - Hercules!

:cry2 :cry 2:cry2 :tantrum :tantrum :tantrum ABC is all fuzz in my area! I can't see the show! :tantrum :tantrum :tantrum :cry2 :cry 2:cry2

Color me totally and completely, desperately addicted! When I first moved in, my rabbit ears could pull in the ABC station from my home town. So I decided to see if I could do it. So I can get sound, but no picture. So...I'm listening to the show! :lol

And now I'm getting some picture. Fuzzy, black and white, but at times, it's not half bad. :celebrate

Bloody :mad ! The static keeps obscuring the dialogue! I'm missing the date!

Okay, I give up. I'll get the eppy another way.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

I LOVE this show!

Ok...I can't even think staight right now, I'm so damn happy! :dance :dance :dance

Total case of deja vu when Sydney rescued Jack from the movies. Liked the cool semi-truck trick--very Knight Rider.

Marshall."3rd grade kind of sucked too" :rollin

The Fight:
Damn! Could those two have more tension between them? She was pissed! And the look on Vaughn's face when she mentions the seeing Alice thing...priceless!
"I don't need you for that." Ouch, that had to hurt! :shake

We finally find out what that thing was they shot into Sloane's neck was! About time.

It was nice to see Jack and Irina working together. I can't believe he went to her to brainstorm!

Headset Vaughn...Yummy! :)

The tension between Sydney and Vaughn when he was giving her the countermission--DAMN! And she get's all pissy and tells him it's complicated and maybe he should expain it again. :eek Tense!

I totally love Weiss to death! This man is my new best friend! When he fist see's Sydney again and he's like "How about some sugar?" :lol :lol And then he tries to get Vaughn to talk about his argument with Sydney and brings up his dog. :rollin :rollin

Marshall:"Damnit, I liked that tie!" :lol

No Doubt's "Hella Good"...perfect song for her struting through the airport all badass! "Watch the hands...it's not a date." :lol :rollin

Vaughn being all nervous about asking Sydney out. That was sooooo adorable. The cute little nervous smiles. :thud And the fact that Weiss was encouraging it all the way made me want to kiss him!
And she smiled and said "Let's Do It." YES!

Ok...more to come...when I can think clearer!

French speaking Vaughn...:thud :thud :thud

"I think wine would help the situation." :lol The way they kept looking at each other over the menus...ahhh.

And his code name is Boy Scout...how cute is that?! And Weiss telling him the story is boring..:lol "Always be prepared." :lol And then Vaughn tells him he's turning him off now! LOL

SHE AGREED TO GO UPSTAIRS! HOLY :censor GOD!

Go Action Vaughn! He totally kicked ass!

And Weiss with his "How's that for spin?" Have I mentioned how much I love this man? :lol

Sloane actually saved the day...walking in on Ariana and Jack just before he would of talked! Thank, God!

And Vaughn..."We need to stay together." "I agree" I :love them
Go Sydney being smart and getting that gadget to Vaughn. And the "We win..always be prepared." comment was nice to hear.

And Sloane was behind the whole Emily thing so he could be with her! HOLY SHIT!

Gotta say...I just loved this episode so much! :thud :thud
