In honor of the third installment --- Matrix --- I'd like to know how many of you are going to see the third movie and what's your thoughts on the movies so far?

My fave, hands down, is the first. The second and third just don't hold me as well. The third is my second favorite, because it got back to the spirit of the original. The ending wasn't what I expected, and I do wonder what happened to several of the characters, but other than that, I think the ending was very good.

i love this trilogy (though LOTR is my favorite). I thought the third one was really good, if sad, and i am curious to find out what is going to happen to some of the characters "after the end". I cant say which i liked better, but on whole this was definatly a GREAT trilogy and when m3 comes out on dvd, i am buying it (like i have the 1st 2)

I have to agree with you, moondust...great trilogy. They do leave the ending open a little...so somewhere down the line we may very well get a fourth movie. But I think they should leave it well enough alone. Let us wonder...it's The Matrix after all.

Wow...you're the first person I've seen/heard that liked the second one better. Hmm. But I did love the dialogue between Smith and Neo. Fabulous!

i liked them in the 2,1,3 order i mean...number 2 is so action packed and so many things are happening and the whole 'group' gets split up and all that cool stuff happens and learn the reality of what the matrix is...then number one because it's so cool and yeah...and number 3 was...pretty good...but i really don't believe its the ending...i mean...Neo laying there and all...it never said he was dead...so you never know

I liked the first one best. I think it just seems like it never was meant to be a trilogy... the first one was so well on it's own. so myesterious and intruiging. I saw the third one, and it was okay but a little... too much, know what I mean? the second one was better, but my absolutely favourite character in there was the merovingien. he was so awesomly hilarious! see, I love french, it's such a beautiful language. and the quote I have in my sig is just the best!
