I'm reading "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks.
Jen...I am so thrilled that you are reading that book...what do you think so far? It was kind of slow getting into it, but once I got going, I was hooked!

I just finished reading Midnight Predator by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. Very interesting suspenseful book.
I'll be starting Alas Babylon soon, since it's on my school's summer reading list.

Stephen King's It (I've seen the movie loadsa times and thought it was time to read the original). Actually it's surprisingly different to the movie (different things happening to different characters and it goes deeper into the history of Pennywise the Clown/Bob Gray and Derry).

Quote: Quote: Geez, Jen, how many books are you reading? That's funny. Problem is I'm not. I had to go buy I know this much is true because the Library only lets you recheck it out 3 times And I'm not even half through. Still on chapter 5 with a Walk to Remember. Skimmed through the Hurried Child. And that's where I'm at. Not enough time to finish. Oh and top of it, I still havent' read the book of the month and it's about to change again. The problem is it's hard to read while your constantly watching a little one run around and destroy everything. Then your too damn tired at night. I'm working on it though. Oh and if it counts I do read anywhere from 2 to 6 books a day to the little one. (But those are much easier to finish )

LOL I Know This Much is True is a rather long book...but I'm surprised you can only check it out three times at the library. That's odd. Oh well...I'm actually kind of doing the same thing...still reading The Notebook (even though it's super short!), bored two books from a friend I haven't started yet---Scarlett and Legacy of the Sword--and I just bought The Remnant...it's the newest in the Left Behind series. So...I think I have a reading problem! I should probably go instead of being on the computer! Oh...I would say the books you read to Sam count!

I am reading "Hickhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" for the umpteenth time. I have read it so many times that it's all worn out, but I still love it.

I just finished reading Murder on the Orient Express and 1984 for school. Murder on the Orient Express was actually interesting, I was surprised since its for summer reading and I wasn't expecting it to be. 1984 was kind of boring, but it was a pretty good story. It made me think, and thats a good thing, especially during summer, when I don't have to .

I've never read Murder on the Orient Express, but I did read 1984. I was probably one of the few people who actually read all the books I had to read in high school and enjoyed them! I liked 1984..it was very interesting...Big Brother is watching you!

Never noticed this before. It's hard to explain. It's the adventures of the last man from Earth after the Earth is destroyed and he is dragged around space by his friend who he thought was human but actually got stuck on Earth while doing research for a travel guide. It's a trilogy, though there is actually a 4th book ... but they still call it a trilogy. Anyway, it's very funny. I'm re-reading the second one now - "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe." A friend of mine sent me some of her Harry Potter fanfic to read this week and I like it so much that I think I am going to go to Borders tomorrow and buy the books. I don't usually buy books that are "trendy" but she says they are really worth it.

I have to say I am now obsessed with Harry Potter. Any free time I have is spent reading the books. I am about 2/3 through the fourth book. I still haven't seen the first movie & don't plan to rush out and watch the second in November, but I love the books.

4 as of now, but there supposed to be... i dunno i think 7 books in the series or nine. I don't keep up with HP much.
The book I'm reading right now is I Am The Cheese by Roebrt Cormier. The book is really good... I dunno I kinda tend to like books where the people are crazy and it's filled with angst
