Ironically, the Century hasn't broken down since I got rid of it, but such is life.
How true. :shake Sounds like a good deal to me, congrats on the "new" car. *sigh* I just would really like to keep my car for at least two more years. I'll head for the garage tomorrow, see what they suggest.
Today I couldn't go cause I was busy pretending I was writing a paper for school. :lol God, I had already forgotten the first sentnces were the worst. I can't seem to come up with a good opening one. :wall

Ali - Hey back! :wave

I was just told today that there is no way they can fix my car to pass inspection which means bye-bye baby for me, which also makes me really sad. :( I know it's kinda stupid to get like that over a car - it's just that it's my first car ever, and it went to so many places with me, and I bought it myself, and it was convertible, and very small, and very cute, and it was used to my racing and swearing. :cry2 :cry2 :cry2

I'm just gonna miss it. :(

I was attached to my last car. You get used to it and you have names for it and you hate to see something familiar like that go. *pats*

I'm sick of school. I totally bombed a genetics test, organic chemestry is a total engima, I'm totally fed up with BS classes and the info you're forced to learn that you will never use on the job. I want to take a semester off. I know I need my BS (bachelor of science) to get a job. I wish I didn't, but They have me by the proverbial balls on this one.

That's a bad idea, believe me. The semester off is actually the reason I am so sick, too, that I can't even get my damn papers written. The worst part is, I am in that state where I don't care anymore, and that's really bad, because usually, I just get a very bad conscience which makes me sit down and work eventually. :(

:hug :hug :hug to both Zook and Jenny. :(

I haven't taken a semester off, and I'm so burned I don't care anymore. I just...don't care. Screw school. I just want to work in a zoo and get my sanity back. Nothing seems real anymore. Just take the tests, pass the classes, and keep moving so you can get that piece of paper. I feel like I'm loosing touch and focus with the reason I came to school in the first place. I need to get jumpstarted again.

A friend told me to stop complaining. *snorts* THis chick has a bachelors, so it baffles me why she coudln't identify with the "AUGH!" in my words. Everyone else is aware that it's mroe than kvetching. But she's an academic/musical golden child that went to a private conservatory for college and she lived at home the whole time, so small wonder she doesn't understand what it is to take classes wher eyou have no idea why you need to know this stuff. And what it is to fail an exam after thinking you have a good grasp on the material. Not get a lower grade than you expected, but fail with style (ie, a 54)

Zook - :hug :hug Don't give up though. It's kinda stupid to be saying that if you really feel like you can't remember what made you go to school in the first place. Maybe it will be better in a week or so, sometimes is just a passing thing. I am one to talk, i dunno how I will ever get back into university mode, but ignore that.
Just don't throw everything away. Try taking small breaks - like, can't you just drop some classes? Simply not take the tests and do it next semester? I dunno how your university calsses are organized, but here that would work.
It might help getting rd of the stress for a while, and gets you out of that routine. I know it must be horribly frustrating to study and study and still fail the tests. A friend of mine does Pharmacy (is that what you call it?), and she has tons of Organic Chem and Anorganic Chem and so to deal with, and she suffers from the same problem. :(
It must suck big time. Just don't give up. You can do it, Zook! :)

Sorry this took so long. The forum was refusing to load.

I can't drop anything without going into part-time status, which will affect my financial aid. The idea of dropping organic chem highly appeals, but because of the financial aid issues, it's not an option. So I'm just going to the teacher's assistants to get help. Lots of help. And trying to stay up to date on studying and all that. I'm doing better than I was, but the desire for winter break to come NOW is not less. :lol

:lol Oh my.
That's actually bad, if you can't drop anything. It must suck because staying up to date means studying a LOT. I usually don't mind studying but the problem is, if you have to do it continually without any break, it begins to get stressful and you just want to drop everything and tell school to go screw itself. :(
I don't really have classes that are that strict, that require constant studying like that in order to pass, but I can imagine how it must be. Somewhere down the line you just want to scream and turn your back on it and not care anymore. :(

:hug :hug :hug Hope winter break comes soon.

I've had a small nervous breakdown from studying constantly before, so I've seen the dark side of that, but I doubt I'll suffer that again. The conditions just aren't the same this time as they were then. But, yes, I'll be studying a lot. It stinks, but it'll be over in early December. I can deal for another two months.

Good! :thumbsup Now that's an attitude! :) You go, girl! :clap
I have actually discovered that I am weird with studying: I need to have a nervous break-down before I can ever get anything done that is actually worth being turned in. It's stressing as hell, but it works, that break-down tactic. ;)

I have tests in O-chem *and* genetics next Friday. :ohno So my plan is to spend tomorrow taking on O-chem and Sunday taking on Genetics. I had a talk with general chem about how if it didn't cause problems for me, I wouldn't cause problems for it. I see that O-chem hasn't understood that message yet, so I must get tough on it and show it who's boss. Failure is not an option!

:lol Sounds like a good tactic! :thumbsup Damn right, Zook, tell it who's the boss!

How's the study going? :dunno

:flowers for you to see if you cheer up and don't feel the need to slam your head against the wall anymore with all that studying. :hug

The studying isn't going too badly. O-chem is still a deep, vicious evil, but I will fight it until it dies (or I pass and don't have to deal with it again, whichever comes first).

Thanks for the cheer up. What I'd really love right now is to take a trip to Middle Earth and spend a few months hanging out in the wonderful land of Rohan, where I can enjoy horses and the buff men that ride them. :D

Went to bed with damp hair. Looked at myself in the mirror when I went into the bathroom to take Aleve for my sinus headache. Laughed at how spiky and punk I look. Add a few spike wristbands and some crazy makeup, and I'm good to go in looking uberscary. :lol
