I dislike Avril to an incredible extent, because she is incredibly fake. I don't really have much respect for people /in the music industry/ that only have their "looks" and "voice" to go by. Atleast Michelle plays an instrument, and I think her lyrics are a hell of a lot better than Avril's. So that's who I would pick, I think Michelle has talent, while Avril is just another manufactured pop star, claiming to be "punk".

Meowth- I agree completely. Avril is so fake it pisses me off. She wasn't so bad in the beginning, when Complicated wasn't all that popular yet, but then she just began pissing me off. She's always lying about something like ina magazine interview she called herself "punk" and in another one she said that she never called herself "punk."  Is she lying or she has some kind of memory problem? She's like the next Britney Spears except she's got a band. Michelle on the other hand can actually play the guitar and I like her songs a lot better than Avril's.

Michelle def. Avril is such a poser. She dresses punk but then sings pop and thats all she does, sing. Michelle however plays guitar and she is who she is. She also doesn't just follow the crowd. I remember at one of the MTV awards the audience voted one what outfit they wanted her to wear, but she just wore what she thought suited her best. It justed showed her personality. so yeah enough rambling...

Okay, I know smashing one's guitar is supposed to be cool or crazy or something but I CAN''T TSAND PEOPLE WHO DO THIS, so: Michelle once again. If Avril thinks she needs to do this in order to gain credibility, she must be a fake. (Great theory, huh?!) I saw the video for Sk8er Boi. Stalker, I hated that part too where she messed up a perfectly good guitar. Why would anybodyw anna mess up a nice guitar in the first place?!?!?!

Wow no one likes Avril. Well, I like them both but I prefer Michelle's songs a little bit more. All her songs are great!

Thanks guys. Although- I'm still a little lost on Michelle Branch. What song(s) does she sing? And I can't say that I disagree with alot that's been said about Avril-- but I really love her song Complicated. Just my opinion.

Michelle sings "Everywhere" and I don't remember the other title, but it goes:
"If you want to, I can save you, I can take you away from here.."
That's really cool that she wore whatever she wanted to that awards show, even though the audience voted. I really appreciate people like that in today's entertainment community.
Bah, from Complicated:
"Why do you have to go and make things so complicated? Acting like someone else makes me frustrated.." or whatever she says. Way to contradict yourself in one of your own songs, sheesh.. hehe. Just my view on it all. And the spelling of "sk8ter boi" is really obnoxious..

I agree with you guys. The spelling of Sk8er boi annoys me and now it seems like everyone else spells "sk8er" and "boi" like that.
