My first concert (I think) was Bruce Springsteen. I was 12 years old and completely out of my element. I queued for 6 hours before it started because it was general admission only. He performed for 4 hours in front of 44,000 people and it was brilliant! Oh and my mum came with me.
Another one of my first time concerts was WHAM
wake me up before you go go sorry, couldn't resist. I couldn't hear George Michael sing because of all the screaming 13 yr olds (oops that would be me too)
The most memorable concert would have to be John Mellencamp. I was seated at the L) side of the arena and he was staring at me most of the night. It was more of a "I've seen you before in another lifetime stare', very strange but most memorable.
When I was younger I desperately wanted to see ABBA. I was 5-10 yrs old at the time. Consequently I still hold a grudge and I've never forgiven my mum for not taking me to their concert.
Talks to self and says 'get over it Claire!'
When I was young I wanted to see Duran Duran, The Cure and The Smith's perform. Now I want to see Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Sarah McLachlan and the list goes on. Boy, does your taste in music change as you get older or what?
