'Big Bang Theory' Season 7 Spoilers: Penny Won't Be Waiting When Leonard Returns From Sea?

The wait is nearly over, as CBS' The Big Bang Theory is set to return for an all-new season at the end of the month.

In a set photo released from the second episode of season 7, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) can be seen returning to California after working alongside Stephen Hawking at sea.

Carter Matt speculates that Leonard "would want Penny to be the person waiting for him more so than Sheldon."

In other Big Bang Theory news, information was released on the first two installments, which are titled The Hofstadter Insufficiency and The Deception Verification.

The following synopsis on the first episode was given by CBS:

"With Leonard away, Sheldon and Penny spend quality time together sharing intimate secrets. Also, Wolowitz helps Raj get over his ex-girlfriend."

Episode 2 is described by the network as follows:

"Leonards friendship with Sheldon is put to the test when he returns from the North Sea. Meanwhile, Wolowitz's relationship with his mother causes an unusual threat to his masculinity."
