Fox has announced that The O.C. will begin airing on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 9:00 PM EST/PST. The show will continue in this time slot throughout the summer. When the Fall season begins, The O.C. will move to Thursdays at 9:00 PM EST/PST.

The OC returns WEDNESDAY October 29th, at 9 EST.

I'm pretty sure it's a move to get an audience before the crucial beginning of the fall. I think that's an awesome idea to premiere it during the summer - "something to watch" exactly!

I definitely think that's a great idea. Get people hooked on it before their "regular" shows watch. :clap :clap Good thinking!

:fight So when it goes into Fall it'll be right after Tru Calling. I guess I'm not going anywhere Thursday nights. I'll be stuck on fox from 8-10. Not a bad way to spend a night I guess :bat

It's cool because I have never had a show I watched on Thursday - so now I pretty much have every night booked :lol

Interesting that they are putting two new shows on the same night in the fall. Wouldn't they usually use a strong settledlead in - or out - ?

I use to watch all of NBC on Thursday nights. Must See Tv and all. :lol But know, I watch Friends...if I catch it, and I MUST watch ER. So, it will be nice to have OC and Tru to watch.

Hopefully I'll get the chance to watch it in the fall, but I'm not sure. I'll have to check up on my work schedule when the time comes :dunno

Is it a coincidence that 90210 used to begin their seasons in the summer as well (I believe they did that for Seasons 2 and 3)? Interesting thought...

I'll probably check it out and see how good it is the first few episodes before I decide if I will watch in the fall, 'cause I normally watch Will & Grace at 9 on Thursdays. I guess we'll see.

Yeah, unfortunately, I do work nights :( But I might be able to fit in a few episodes. I only work every other thursday, so... we'll see what happens. That's still a few months from now :dunno

:fight OH DAMN! WILL & GRACE! I totally forgot about that. My thursdays are gonna be so damn busy. I'm gonna be watching FOUR damn shows that air back to back and against one another. I'll be watching the OC at 8 & Tru Calling at 9 on Fox, which go up against Survivor at 8 on CBS and Will & Grace at 9 on NBC.It's gonna be hell, I'll get through it though.:bat

Cool, something new to watch in just a month. All the new reality shows are getting crappy something that doesn't have to do with reality tv will be great.

:fight Did you see one of the 2 minute previews or a short one? I usually see a lot while watching Pradise Hotel on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9. They show mad previews for it. Some are really long that show a lot of crap while others are only a small blurb. I swear I saw at least 6 previews in one hour on night.It's got me very excited.:bat

I've only seen the preview once. It was on a Sunday night during an episode of the The Simpsons, I believe.

Hmmm...I just saw a short little blurb. But it was enough to catch my attention! :)

And reality shows are the spawn of Satan if you ask me...but than again I think my cat is too! :lol Anyway, I hate them all...Joe Millionare, The Bachelor, Big Brother...the only one I could tolerate was Survivor and that was only cause Friends was all repeats!

We're on the same page, Cory! I don't know how people can stand to watch them. I've watched Survivor and Big Brother and a couple of others a few times with my dad, 'cause he really likes them. They make me want to ram pens through my skull.
