Hm, I did this with Roswell's characters once, only to find out that it doesn't work that way.

And I don't think Dawson and Seth have too much in common.. but you're right, the basic elements remain the same, only they mix them up differently.

Not a chance. I liked Joey. I HATE Marissa. And Seth and Marissa had no connection, despite being next door neightbors, before Ryan came along. They sure as hell weren't best friends.

Your theory has holes. I don't generally compare entire casts of characters with each other. Sometimes relationships or friendships merit a comparision (like Ryan/Summer and pre-Crash Course Lucas/Brooke

or the crappy way Marissa treats Summer vs. the crappy way Peyton is treating Brooke.)

Yeah, I know, but you have to admit that there are basic elements that remain the same. For instance, the fact that Ryan is so closed off reminds me of Michael from Roswell, but the rest of him is more like Max.
