Well, I figured Lex needed a thread all of his own. Where is CCC? Have you heard that Lex is getting married in the 2nd ep? I read it on another site, so I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I hope not. I mean that seems way to rushed for me. His character doesn't even seem like the type that is ready for that commitment yet and I would like to see the storyline unfold first before someone just does the I do. Insights?

Yes, it's true. I've read part of the script. He marries her because she has the power to make men do whatever she wants. But he comes to his senses.

*rollseyes* Not another freak of the week. From the sounds of the first couple of episodes they are still doing the whole weirdo of the week thing. I think this is what aggreviates me the most. I mean they could at least do those storylines every OTHER week or something and just focus more on the storylines between the characters. Thanks for the info btw!

She has the ability to control men with a kiss. She's after him for the money. So yeah, I've heard she makes him marry her, then she plans to have Clark kill him right after the wedding, so she'll get all the money. She does her power mojo thing but it doesn't work because he isn't, you know, human. She then goes after Johnathon Kent to do her dirty work. I can't wait to see that. I bet the towns folk will think its just so logical for Mr. Kent to go after Lex with a shotgun. He has toted a shotgun around before...

I like the notion of Jonathan going after Lex with a shotgun, too. He just looks as if he wants to.
I don't mind the Kryptonite Monster of the Week if the story is otherwise interesting. (Most of them are.) It seems to me in keeping with the mood of the Adventure Comics I loved so much as a kid, where, believe me, the monsters and the adventures were all much more outrageous. And often hokey. That's part of the fun.

Even more on the Johnathon-Clark-Lex front. This whole marriage/mind control with a kiss thing is happening while Clark is experiencing his first wave of heat vision. He's in hiding so as not to hurt anyone as he nearly did so to another Smallville High student. So, he's in hiding while Johnathon goes out to bump off Lex for this chick. Whatever shall happen then?

Whatever happens, I predict:
(1) Lex will not be saddled with a wife. (2) Jonathan will not be reconciled to Lex. (3) Clark will be able to cover up or make excuses for whatever harm his heat vision does.

Does this mean Lionel gets her now? ( I'm thinking of the precedent of Boobs McChesty.) Of course, I'm assuming Victoria boffed the MB *after* Lex... but I could be giving her too much credit. She could have been doing the deed with both generations at the same time, though I think Lionel would be more likely to corner her when she was down and out. I'm wondering if Lex will ever take revenge for that little maneouvre? He didn't love Victoria, but it's a matter of pride. I'm betting he'll wait until that dish of revenge is very very cold, then put the smack down on Daddy Dearest. And then Lionel will retaliate, and on and on and on... This family needs an intervention.

I'd say, we don't know. That's the obvious scenario: that after Victoria tried to scam Lionel and then Lex (sequentially) and Lex double-crossed her and won the day in alliance with Lionel, then Lionel picked her up to show Lex who was in charge really. Or -? Well, there are other possibilities. Maybe the Lionel/Victoria affair was before we see Victoria in "Rogue". Maybe Lionel dumped her and the whole anti-Lionel plot was a kind of attempted revenge on her part. Or maybe she was playing one against the other at the same time - hedging her bets regardless of which Luthor won the war. I was thinking she couldn't do this - not out of overestimation of her character, but for logistical reasons: she was in Smallville (mostly), Lionel was in Metropolis (mostly). But 'mostly' is the operative word here. They were both going back and forth all the time, and we do see them both in Smallville on the same occasion. So... who knows. We do know we couldn't trust Victoria.

Well it seems your predictions were right on! So, we get these for every ep, now?
