Clark (Tom Welling) is concerned when he discovers someone has been leaving love notes for Lana (Kristin Kreuk) at her parents' grave and warns her to stay away from the mysterious poet. Fed up with Clark's over-protectiveness, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) follows the dark and handsome stranger to his home and discovers his parents keep him locked in chains. Unable to leave him like that, Clark and Lana break into the house to save the boy, but soon realize why he was locked up in the first place.

I haven't seen this show in ages until last night. When did Lex's father go blind? How?

I was wondering, if Byron has been living in his parents' basement for 8 years, how does he suddenly have a crush on Lana, who would have been about 7 or 8 the last time he saw her? I thought that was odd. No, turning into the Hulk was not odd, just the stalker crush thing.

Hi Bunnie! Hi Laura! :wavey

Laura, ITA over the weirdness of that whole plot. How would he have known Lana? Did he regularly lurk cemetaries and just happen to catch a glimpse of her one night?

Not to mention, wouldn't his parents have been arrested immediately for faking the boy's death and keeping him locked up - both day AND night? The fact that their son was dangerous when exposed to sunlight is no excuse for the abuse he was obviously put through. Sorry, that plot irked me.

BTW, Laura, Lionel went blind during the storm. I guess something flew in his eye, I don't remember.

Clark's facial expressions made me LMAO. I wasn't seeing jealousy so much as "What the hell is this dork talking about?"

I actually watched it last night It was pretty good. Maybe I'll watch it next week too. I didn't get the plot much. I agree with you guys on how the guy would have a crush on Lana if he'd been in his parent's basemet for 8 years.

I think i can't get into smallville, just b/c of the possiblities Lex offers.

You know he's going to turn evil, and what angles he could use to hurt the people around him.

While watching last night's eppy (UPN's time slot)...i was wondering how Lex could turn Lana against Clark. What would happen if he could...manipulate everyone around Clark?

I mean seeing Clark's mom working for Mr. Luther...just isn't right. You can see in Lex's eye he knows Clark is keeping something BIG from him.

Yeah Lex's character is definitely predictable. We all know he'll become evil, but I think it's fun finding out how he becme that way :dunno I used to completely hate Smallville, but I'm so bored Tuesdays I end up watching it and slowly it just grows on you.
