Separates Clark from Lex? Interesting perspective! Not that I want to see any separation between them. I found it interesting here that Lex wanted peace between Jonathan and Clark, Lex dressed simply, Lex was trying to get along with his own father. Even though it appeared that Clark was emulating Lex, he was showing behaviour that Lex wouldn't.

I thought one of the many interesting things here was the perspective we got of an assertive, self-confident Clark. Take away the moral considerations, and you get something of what he might be as an adult.

The more harrowing and awful moment was when Clark told Jonathan he wasn't his father, and threw him against the truck.

OK, sorry to bump up an old thread but I'd really like to talk about this episode.

I hated it. H-A-T-E-D it. Even (especially?) the Clark/Lana kiss. The whole thing was absolutely dumb, dumb, dumb.

Why can't the scriptwriters remain consistent? I mean, come on, folks. In 'Heat', they tell us that Clark's heat vision is triggered by him thinking about sex.

*spoiler, though I think everyone's probably seen this episode...if you haven't don't bother*
If Clark is looking through Chloe's and Lana's clothes, wouldn't you say that would trigger heat vision? In all fairness to the 'Heat' script (which I loved) he should have set their clothes on fire.

Same because later, in one of the Superman movies, Lana and Clark have sex. Wouldn't you think that he couldn't?

Why do you guys not like it when Clark and Lana Kiss? I find them to be extremely passionate kisses!

Because I was a C&L fan.. until every freaking time they would kiss it would be fake. Due to some bug or personality disorder. Now, it's just gotten so old, that I really don't care one way or the other. Sort of like when you call sheep as a joke-- the third time around no one comes/cares.
