before.She died in the season 5 finale and Joss said that he intended for that to be the last episode of the show. The only bad part about season 5 was Riley become too good for Buffy and he had to go away. That made me sad.

Riley was her first really non vampire boyfriend. He was sweet, he was from iowa, he went to Chruch on Sundays, he was part of a secret underground goverment orginization that killed, captured and studied demons. He was kinda perfect in everyway but Buffy screwed it up and he went away
