I do that too. It's a crafty thing i think. You see something total awesome whether it be a pattern or supply, of even something you think you can replicate, and it doesn't matter that you'll never use it and don't know a single person who would want it, you just have to make it simply because its awesome.

Last year I knit a 9'+ scarf. I have only worned it twice, both on days when it was tooo damn cold to care what the hell you looked like because your nose was at risk of falling off.

yeah. its a hazard lol. I made a Igant denim messenger bag yesterday. It's a little ugly, and actually too big to use for day to day school stuff, but im still proud of it. A non-crafter would look at it and totaly say ew ew ew!

It's the right of every artists to create completely random things, even if they are ugly lol

Those are the funnest projects. I made a completely random ugly sculpture in cermaics when I was in my last year of high school. I was so damn stressed and I took it out on the clay. I kinda wish I had actually fired it instead of just recycling the clay. It was very spiky and rough. I can't even describe it, but I felt a lot better after it was done.

clay is a great subsitution for therepy isn't it? lol

and stab it! don't forget that! There is something quite satitfising about slicing through a slab of clay.

try it! well slicing anyway. stabbing, as fun as it can be, is hard on the clay. It's hard to get those air bubbles out afterwards which would kinda suck when you tried to fire it.

the ugly bowls tend to be the most intresting to look at. i made a mighty ugly bowl once that I ended up getting an A+ on because apparently it all the extra bumps wobbly edge were a source of "movement" to the eye. I didn't complain lol

lol. Thats so soemthing I would have done too when I was that age. High school totally changed that. Now I just take the A and run. Dont ask questions, don't look back.
