The finale does end with Pacey and Joey together. It's misleading for most of the two hours but it makes it clear at the end that it's Pacey and Joey who are together romantically. The Pacey and Joey fans will surely be happy with this ending, if only for the sake of gloating, but the actual build up prior to the ending is really terrible. They definitely could have done a much better job wrapping up the show.

This was posted on the main thread. I can confirm this to be true. I'm sorry, but I told you guys once I knew for sure what the ending would be--as of the white draft of the script--I'd let you know. I know now. The second half is incredibly depressing and morbid as Jen's death storyline dominates the hour and all of Dawson's scenes are really emotional and intense and the last scene is really hokey and I guess we can -assume- he's happy.

Can you say? Shocked. I think it's true. She is a very bitter DJer.
