Katie has a new movie coming out this fall and the trailer looks very good. It's a thriller with Benjamin Bratt. Here's the trailer link at Yahoo.

Cory~ never even heard of it. Thanks! From the one pic it looks really good. Of course I'm having problems getting the trailer to work. :mad What's it about? When is it coming out in theaters? She's been getting alot of movies lately with starring roles. I think it's pretty terrific.

Katie has ANOTHER film coming out this year...she's been a busy girl it looks like! I couldn't find a trailer, but here's the info. from Yahoo Movies:
Drama and Thriller
In this intense drama, which takes place in and around a single phone booth in New York City, a man who is being watched by a rooftop killer with a sniper rifle must use the phone to save his life or else risk the consequences of leaving the booth.
MPAA Rating: R for (for pervasive language and some violence).

I saw that poster (well same image) today when I was working on the DC store. It's not available on DVD yet (duh :lol ) but I was looking at it neverless..

That other movie about the phone booth sounds really interesting. Now there's a weird movie. Original though, I suppose. :drink

Katie Holmes: "Excited" to Shoot The Giver With Meryl Streep, Taylor Swift and More

Katie Holmes has reason to be pumped: Her next movie is based on a hugely popular young-adult novel and she'll be working with Meryl Streep.

Aces all around.

"I'm really excited about it," the actress told E! News at the Global Citizen Festival in NYC's Central Park about her upcoming trip to South Africa to shoot The Giver, based on Lois Lowry's 1993 Newberry Medal winner about a society that doesn't realize it's dystopian because everyone lives in a state of Sameness, rather than have memories or emotions.

That is, until Jonas, the nearly 12-year-old boy chosen to become the next Receiver of Memory—the one person chosen to store all the past experience in case a certain bit of knowledge is needed for problem solving—meets the outgoing Receiver, aka the Giver.

And the Giver has some stories to tell that make Jonas question whether there just might not be more to life than Sameness.

Principal photography on the film is scheduled to begin Oct. 7 in Cape Town with an eye on an Aug. 15, 2014, theatrical release.

Streep is onboard to play Jonas' main adversary, the Chief Elder. The film's confirmed cast also includes Taylor Swift , Alexander Skarsgård, Jeff Bridges and Australian actor Brenton Thwaites, who's set to play the young hero.
