:fight Entertainment Weekly reached my doorstep today and naturally I devoured every page on SMG's leaving Buffy behind. She seemed generally saddened that the show was ending, but felt it was time to move one. But, enough about Buffy. She's quickly becoming the past, so naturally I scanned the article for the future (i.e. any news on THE spin-off we keep hearing about). It gave good news and bad news involving this very secretive new series. THE GOOD: "Gellar has promised to make occasional guest appearances on the spin off." THE BAD: " The Spin-off will not be based around sexy bad-girl slayer Faith, played by Eliza Dushku, who is committed to a 20th century Fox pilot directed by Phillip Noyce." If anyone needed more confirmation on this new "Heroine" show being a legitimate enterprise, I'd say this was a pretty good indicator. Also went on to mention that the finale would be basically a five part story arc that would contain an appearance by Angel at some point. Personally I'm hoping this pilot Eliza Dusku is doing flops or turns into a movie of the week type deal. Even then I really don't know if she'd jump onto a new series or go back to movies. One things for certain.. the future of the Slayer is looking bleaker by the hour. One thing that isn't looking bleak though is Angel . There was a mini article on his show buried in the 6 page Buffy spread. The article said that confidence in the show has grown over the season at the WB, yet they won't make any official decision regarding Angel's future till May sweeps. :help
