:fight What would you do if you had this power? Would you do what Tru does and do your best to save complete strangers and your friends and loved ones? Or would you completly go the personal gain route and being rolling in lottery money and great stock market winnings? As cool as it would be to run around and get shot at and get insane glances from those your trying to save, I think I'd be winning some money and buying an island. It sounds evil and wrong and the baddest of the bad, but what do you expect from a guy that has routed for the villains of Buffy the vampire slayer for Seven years. The Master, Spike and Dru, The Mayor, Adam, Glory, Willow, and the First totally corrupted me. Stop looking at me that way. Someone else go...there has to be another"lex luthor" wannabe out there.:silly

Mr. J...:glare You bad boy! :nono Actually, I have to partially agree with you. I would definitely be winning the lottery to help myself, my family, and my friends out. But I think I would like to be able to help some people out. However, I'm so damn lazy who knows if I could actually be motivated to do anything about it. It's like saying I want to help the hungary. Do I do anything about it? No. But the thought is nice. I would like to say I'd be the better person and help, but I honestly don't know. :dunno

:fight Well there's of course a difference between feeding the Hungry and saving someone from a psycho boyfriend or whatever. I mean Tru can look in the paper and get the name of the victim and the approximate location of the crime. So she at least has a starting off point. I think anyone that tried to feed the homeless doesn't have that kind of edge. They're mostly thrown into the deep end without a life jacket. So Des I'm sure you'd make a great Hero. Someone has to do it cause I plan to be the villain of the piece. :bat

Same here. The selfish part of me would want to do the lottery thing and ensure mine and my family's well-being. But then there's the compassionate side of me that would want to help others out. It's just one of those hypotheicals that we will never know the answer to.

:fight Nah we're just honest. I'm sure most of us would help if we knew we could without getting killed ourselves. I'm just wondering about this: has it been stated how she gets these powers?Is it magic?a curse?freak accident?Or a mystery to be solved in season 8?:bat

:fight I'm trying to remain Spoiler free on all the new shows. I still read spoilers like crazy on Angel and Alias cause they've been around. But I intend to be spoiler free with Tru calling, The O.C and Skin. Makes it more fun. I hope they explain the origon of these powers, because if you don't fully understand how it came to be it's less fun. Although the mystery of how these pwers manifested could be the driving force behind season 1. Then again it took Buffy 5 season to even ask about other Slayers...so maybe not. :bat

From the little spoilers I've glances at (trying to stay semi-spoiler-free), I don't believe they've stated how Tru acquires these powers. Hopefully they'll show us or dabble in it throughout the season to keep us guessing. Either way, I'm watching! :lol

:fight Just wait, they'll end up waiting till the last episode ever to reveal how she got these powers. It'll be like the last scene of the series finale.So if the show does well we'll have to wait 6 or 7 years (the average drama's life span) to find out. I like mysteries, but i hate unanswered questions. Roswell did a lot of unanswered questions and I was pissed. Birds of prey set lose a few questions but nothing that pissed me off, they went out pretty well for only have 13 episodes. Nikita was another show that did the questions without answers, but at the end it ended so freakin good I didn't care.If Tru Calling goes that route then I hope they do it with a sense of elegance and simplicity that allows the audience (that's us!) to put the pieces together for themselves and draw their own conclusions. If they just throw shit all over the place without any rhyme or reason like Roswell did in it's infamous 2nd season then I'll be one pissed off watcher.:bat

I would hope that Tru won't do want Roswell had done to it...thankfully for Tru, they don't have JK working for them. So, hopefully that won't happen! :shake :shake
