General Discussion

I just realized this forum didn't have one! And I think at this point, spoilers are welcome as well (I find it hard to believe if anyone hasn't read the books and/or watched the movies) :lol

I heard the book are slightly different but I must admit I am not a big reader and if there is a film I am more likely to watch it than read.

Yeah, the books are different but the movies did stay pretty true to them. The books just have more details and scenes that obviously could not have been put into the movies otherwise they'd be FOREVER long. The only thing I can think of that was not in the book but was in the movie was the battle scene of Breaking Dawn part 2.

Oh but the books and movies were so closely related I got them confused from time to time.. like I could have sworn Charlie had a shotgun when Edward and Bella went to tell them she was engaged.. but I realized that part was in the book but came to life so much so, that I swore it was in the movie! :drink And the part with her fast super hot fancy car-- did they ever put that part in the movie? :thinking Yeah, see... they all blend together for me now. :haha

Oh and if the movies were made true to the sex scenes in the book then they would have been rated R. :lol :lmao

Lol lucky I didn't read it then. I did hope for Bella choosing Jacob but the scene where she found out he imprinted on her daughter was so funny. I did not want to see any of my favourites die so I did like the fight scene not happening for real but then I like a happy ending :)

I about freaked during that last fight scene. I was like "THAT'S NOT HOW IT HAPPENED!" But then I realized what happened. I knew that Stephanie said she wrote in a twist at the end and I remembered that Alice hadn't brought in the other half-human/half-vampire guy yet so I realized what was going on. But it freaked me out for about 30 seconds! :thud

I didn't want Jasper to die. I liked his character and their "dad" and would not want to see them dead. I haven't read the books but heard they are better

OMG. I'm so glad you said that! Now I know I wasn't crazy either for that last 30 seconds... because I didn't see that coming at all and did not remember that in the books. :lol :lol

as far as the books go-- the writing is incredible the way she writes Edward and Bella. :heart And you get to see more into the characters then you did for the movies. :lol Like Jacob's love letters wasn't it? We never got to see that in the movies.. but neat to read.

The books by far surpassed the movies. The movies were good, but not as good as they could have been - imo

Yeah... except the one great thing about the movies was getting to see Robert. But of course, you knew I'd say that. :lol :rotf
