Thanks to Kerrskeed @ Alias Uncovered for these following spoilers:

Sydney is called into an interrogation room for a meeting with a CIA agent named, Yeager and an CIA officer. The meeting is very offical. She is given forms and her fingerprint is taken...she reluctantly signs a confientiality agreement about what is about to be discosed. The Officer leaves once the forms are signed and her fingerprint is taken. He asks if she is familiar with the name Vladimir Progroski. She is not. He gives her a photograph of an older gentlemen. She states that she does not recognize him. Yeager than asks if Sydney recalls Vaughn using a payphone when she had been in France with him. She's than curious and asks what the meeting is about. He continues with very strange and unsettling questions regarding Vaughn. She finally has enough when asked about her intimate relationship with Vaughn. She demands to know what this is about and who this guy even is. He is Mitchell Yeager..Counterintelligence Threat Analyst sent to investigate Vaughn. Sydney is thrown for a loop. Vaughn can't be lying to her too. Yeager informs Sydney that for the past three months, Vaughn has had contact with many unapproved foreign operatives and shows her the picture of Mr. Progroski. He is a former KGB assassin with contact to three terrorist organizations. Vaughn does not know that this investigation is being conducted. And Sydney can not discuss it with him because of the agreement she signed. It would be a felony if she did so and than she would also be a suspect.
Will and Francie are together in the apartment...talking and drinking wine. It's as if Old Francie is still there. Will tells Francie that Sydney works for the CIA. She laughs. He trys to convince her and she jokes around and asks if he's a spy also. He states he's an analyst. New Francie is back...she finds this information intersting. Later, Will is startled away by a horrible nightmare...that he told Francie everything. The next morning, Will goes out to the kitchen to find Vaughn eating breakfast and reading the sports page. It is an odd exchange for both. Will tells Vaughn about his nightmare. Vaughn reassures him that its normal to have anxiety about keeping his job a secret and that it's just coming out in his dreams. It goes away. Will than says it was just a horrible feeling selling out the CIA in his dream. You can not tell by Vaughn's reaction if he's innocent or not.
Jack and Irina are on a mission at the Hong Kong Palace as UN Inspectors.
Sark makes contact, through one of Irina's email accounts, to discuss selling the Rambaldi manuscript. Kendall and Jack are discussing the fact that Sark took the bait. Jack is going to set up a meeting in Panama between Sloane and Irina.
Irinia is in her cell reading the Rambadi manuscript. She is very engrossed in her reading and note taking. Sydney comes to visit and asks about Irina going to Panama. Irina senses something is wrong with Sydney, but Sydney denies it...blames it on lack of sleep. Irina then talks to Sydney about the trap they are laying for Sloane. She is emotional, but calm and tells Sydney that this is going to be dangerous, but that she wants her to know that without a doubt, she loves her. Sydney is touched and also afraid. She tells Irina that she will come back.

Show Spoilers
Posted on Friday, February 14 @ 07:16:07 CST by ~Cathy~

by Coreen Kremer

Until aired, the small details are speculation but the title and main gist are a done deal.

More small details on episode 2-16: "Firebomb". Freplica and Sydney chat and Sydney asks her if she and Will have had sex but Freplica says no. Freplica tells Sydney she thinks she's been acting weird and Sydney comments she thought the same thing about her (dyh! Ya think?).

Vaughn calls and tells her to get to the office and Freplica suspects that the "bug" she planted has been found. She contacts Sark for guidance and he essentially tells her to find someone to blame. The CIA gets a lead on Sloane but they need info that Dixon has to locate a man named Amhad Kabir but he refuses to help Sydney when she talks to him. Will involvement with the CIA steps up a notch in the form of a brainstorming session in the CIA briefing room and the smart stinker gives the gang a clue to how to track down what they need.

Episode 2-17: "A Dark Turn". The good news, Dixon comes around and starts work at the CIA, the bad news Vaughn may not be what he says he is. Sydney begins to question where Vaughn's allegiances lie when she learns that he is under investigation by the Agency. Meanwhile Irina and a crucial Rambaldi manuscript are used as bait to try to catch Sloane.

In other jaw-dropping news: a reputable source now claims that Sark may also be "genetically re-engineered." This comes from out of the blue, I know. I have no idea if this is valid or not but as I said, the source is reputable. However, people make mistakes.

A casting call went out for a semi-regular cast member to be the "gadget girl". Maybe a Marshall love interest?

From Eonline:

From georgine: What can you tell us about the next episode of Alias?
At long last, Dixon's a real good guy, as he's welcomed into the CIA. And finally, more Lena Olin. She's very prevalent in this ep, helping Jack try to catch Sloane (I'm still thinking she's working with him, but anyway, bygones...) and sharing a few tender moments with her daughter. Also, of course, the drama of Vaughn possibly being a traitor (noooo!) is played out. Don't believe it for a nanosecond.

From bruniemae: How were last night's ratings for Alias?
Dismal. Shame on ABC for giving my beloved fave the lede-in of I'm a Celebrity--Get Me Out of Here! because nobody's watching! This makes me very cranky. Very. Alias and Dragnet were both below average last night. They also missed the opportunity to put Alias on behind The Music Man, with our man Victor Garber (Alias' Jack). Argh.

From beckygene: Have you heard the rumor that Debra Messing might guest star on Alias?
Yes, but so far, I haven't been able to find any sort of confirmation. I'd take it with a grain of salt (pot, meet kettle), because the rumor was started on IMDb, which is mostly user-generated information. According to them, a 14-year old actress named Maria Hatzis is listed as playing Delia Vaughn and Will & Grace's Debra Messing appears as Katherine Vaughn. Far more reliable are the rumors that Richard Lewis appears on the show. Lewis is in this Sunday's episode, playing an agent who gives Sydney info that makes her question Vaughn's loyalties

From binzie: Please put us out of our misery and give us the answers to the teaser!
Ooh! Thanks for the reminder. Okay, Valentine's Day Spoiler Shuffle answers coming right up:

• Alias: "Sydney learns that Vaughn never really broke up with Alice." False.

Posted by Souris at The Safe House:

Francie uses hypnotherapy to coax sat coordinates out of Will while he's in a post-coital stupor.

Expect LOTS of Jack/Irina. LOTS. And it's all good.

Expect a twist ending that may either be a shocker or just another cop-out in the following episode.

The "Is Vaughn turning bad?" plot everyone's speculating on has nothing to do with his ex, and there's no mention of Alice at all.

Vaughn IS in hot water with his superiors, but despite some speculation on the boards, he's not a clone. At least not so far, lol.

The "Dark Turn" is NOT what you think.

Wow. What a show. I liked it. I was, alas, hoping Irina was good, but she's a total :censor , as some said she was all along. Vaughn's innocent (duh?), and THANK GOD there wasn't a lot of Syd/Vaughn steamy stuff going on; there was so much focus on them earlier this season I want to see some action and fast pace a la S1 again before we get back into watching every single twitch Syd and Vaughn make in relation to the other. Jack and Irina...:grin . It was about time they got it on! And she betrayed him, the skank! Oh, I feel his pain! He can come to me for comfort. hehehe...truly, I feel terrible for him. He trusted her, and she stabbed him in the back again, used him, and played him like a maestro does to a well-tuned violin. Poor Jack! aww...and Syd. Oh, the girl's going to be crushed when/if she finds out the truth of what happened.

A Dark Turn: Rearranging the pieces
by Coreen Kremer
3/2/2003

Ever play the game Jenga? Players remove one block at a time from the tower, and stack it on top. The last player to stack a block without making the tower fall wins the game. The Rambaldi obsession is equivalent to the game's tower. One player cannot make a move without first scrutinizing and understanding how the other player's move affects the integrity of the tower. The player who can isolate the weak spots and successfully maneuver around them will be the one setting the last block atop the tower, holding the Rambaldi secrets, in the end.

But in the race for Rambaldi, are the players in it for themselves, have alliances shifted, or could this new development be a ruse concocted by Jack and Irina to flush out Sloane's next move?

The words, "You know me, I love games" spoken by Irina, reiterate what a dangerous, compelling and secretive woman she is. Her agenda has been suspect for some time and seemingly has come around to prove she's been playing the CIA all along, but has she? Does anyone doubt the fact that she truly hates Sloane? Does anyone really believe she willingly wants Sloane to be the one to unlock the Rambaldi secrets, especially if they mean everlasting life? Does anyone doubt her affection for Sydney, she could have killed her twice but did not, and the fact remains that she knows her daughter will not leave the CIA until Sloane is stopped.

In retrospect, her last speech to Sydney appears she knew the outcome of this tryst would mean her freedom, but why turn herself in to the CIA in the first place if only to be extracted by Sloane a few months later? Maybe because she and Jack are setting their own trap. Jack and Sydney have both complained about CIA red tape keeping them from doing their job, Jack has been known to make up the rules as he goes along and when you throw in the timing of when Sark joined forces with Sloane, an elaborate trap seems likely.

In addition, Irina and Jack work well together as a team. Their brainstorming sessions often find them finishing each other's thoughts and sentences. Between the two they rationalized Sloane's deception with Ariana Kane, they also figured out Sloane's motive behind killing Yuri Karpachev and Jack does not care about Rambaldi. He admits that he steered clear of the obsession that overtook Sloane because of Sydney. Irina partnering with Jack makes sense because his long-term goal is not Rambaldi but rather Sydney's freedom.

Not to forget, Jack was wounded deeply by Irina's initial deception. It's difficult to imagine that after all the years harboring ill feelings towards this woman, he'd be that stupid to trust her completely after she hurt him so, even if she's banked some trust. True, there are sparks between them and that kiss most likely turned into something more but for Jack to remove the tracking device and just let go of the little control he had without an ulterior motive seems out of character. Jack, ye of showing little emotion, does not seem the type to succumb to feminine wiles, no matter how long it's been.

And what about the four, not so stealthily but quite thorough, months Vaughn spent investigating Irina only to find out that "she's clean"? Of the intensive list of people Vaughn mentioned he investigated, one name was left off…Jack. Furthermore, Sydney and Vaughn, two proven players in this game, were left out of the mission and Vaughn thought it odd.

That leads us to Freplica's hypnosis of Will. Not long ago Sydney's apartment was found to be "bugged" and Jack led the investigation into who could be the culprit. He didn't seem to believe the evil genius behind the planting of the devices was the plumber. Does he suspect Francie? The dots that are difficult to connect are how the bad guys knew Will was researching the satellite but he and Vaughn did have that conversation in the kitchen. Could another bug have been planted?

Prior to Irina willingly walking into the CIA she had her daughter trapped in a warehouse at gunpoint. Instead of killing Sydney, she shot her right hand man Khasinau and chimed, "Truth takes time." Irina turned herself in to the CIA for a specific purpose, and now, with the rearrangement of the pieces, why may soon be revealed.

Quote worthy:

Sydney: "Show off." Vaughn: "Yeah, a little bit"
Marshall, "You're Syd's mom, that's really cool ‘cause your daughter…awesome by the way."
Agent Yager, "What is your priority? National security or your new boyfriend?"
Sydney, "Would you betray someone you love?" Yager, "I guess that answers the intimacy question."
Kendall to Jack: "When the hell did we switch places?"
Kendall: " Jack, you make this happen, you can have my job." Jack: "No thanks."
Sydney to Vaughn, "Who do you think you work for? Nothing's private."
Vaughn, "I could not sleep at night knowing I was somehow helping her."

Additional Intel, all about Vaughn:
Having Vaughn struggle with loving Sydney and not forgiving the woman who killed his father really rounds out his character. Happy to see it addressed.

But could Vaughn be that lame that he'd use his government issue auto to traipse all over town when working on something he knew the CIA would frown upon?

Anyone else think Yea Sydney! when she opted to give Vaughn the benefit of the doubt?

Anyone else think Yea Weiss! when he opted to give Vaughn the benefit of the doubt and help Sydney?

Final thought:

For an episode without much action, save Irina's knife wielding scene in the strip club, "A Dark Turn" had me on the edge of my seat. I give kudos to writer Jesse Alexander for putting the show's main character on the back burner while ably advancing the story through the actions of characters that we don't see enough of.
