He definately had NO chance, especially with that crappy writing. Seriously, all he was was window dressing. LOL MV was a hard act to follow.

It's sad really. I could of liked him if they had done something with his character, but they bailed on him. They pushed Rachel more. Granted, when he first came on I was seriously pissed that he was there and Vaughn wasn't, so it would of been bad to push him then. But they could of gotten around to it sooner then the last two episodes! Especially knowing that MV was coming back. Idiots!

I think it was because they realized their mistake and figured nothing would make up for the lack of Vaughn. If he was so popular, like Victor Garber claimed, they would have done something with him, but he wasn't... no one cared or were just too bitter, so... he just did nothing,

Good point. It's a shame really, because his character could of been great if the show had continued and they could of let his character grow.

I mean they changed Lauren's character because of fan outrage; I think they may have had plans for the character Getty played, but once it became clear that fans just wouldn't accept him, I think they just gave up and decided to focus elsewhere. I mean if HE was sooo uber-popular and made people forgte MV, MV wouldn't have been asked back AND they would have given him a story throughout the season. Instead all he did was have a tempid flirtation with Rachel and eventually get a dead-end sl that meant nothing.
Fun times!

Because she was supposed to be the New!Sydney. Syd couldn't quit and have a life of no!sex with Vaughn IF Rachel wasn't around. We were supposed to see that she had rapidly improved... and, she did. I didn't hate her at the end.

Exactly and we could, kinda, sorta, see that she could be like Sydney... not exactly Sydney, but kinda, sorta in a cheap imitation way like her.
Besides, we had to be shown Sydney and Vaughn happy in their life of no!sex ever. Yes, I know they had Jack and Sydney looked knocked up again... but whatever. Alias never paid attention to little details, so neither am I.
