Loved it. I'm not a huge fan of the story itself, but I adore the music. It's so beautiful.

I liked it. I think that Emmy did an amazing job at Christine. Oz, I know you love Gerard, but he didn't do it for me so much as Phantom. I think he did a good job, but I've seen Phantom on the stage and you have to have a HUGE presence. I didn't feel that from Gerard as much. He did have his moments though that I did feel him as Phantom. The customs and everything else was so wonderful. It was interesting seeing everything in a movie as opposed to the stage where props are limited by the venue. You can do so much more within the cinema you can not do on stage. Like you Oz, I am completely opposed with Phantom...I have been for years now. I saw it for the first time on stage about 8 years ago and just saw it again for a second time last weekend. It was interesting seeing the differences between the two. I like them both in their own ways, but I lean towards the stage version a little more. I love theater and to me, Phantom is theater. But I plan on buying the DVD because Joel did such a great job with it. It was nice to see the transitional scenes you don't see on stage. All in all...loved it.
