The Journey to The Shore

Mark Talarico and Denis Zervos, long time friends spent their childhood growing up in the city of Philadelphia. Their summers however were spent along the coast in Wildwood, New Jersey (Down the Shore) as the East coasters would say.

It is there where Denis was inspired to tell a story involving this hidden treasure as the main back-drop. He wanted to capture the retro architecture of the motels and shops, how since the 1950's time in the city of Wildwood has ultimately stood still.

After completion of the first draft of “The Shore” Denis approached Mark with the script. The sentimental feelings underlined in the story immediately attracted Mark and his company Nile River Pictures to the project.

The two friends partnered and put “The Shore” into development. The script gained a lot of interest from the industry. The original artistic concept trailer followed with the support of the Sundance Film Institute. The quality and uniqueness of the project has enabled “The Shore” to cast talent like Shiri Appleby, Academy Award nominated actress Anne Archer, and well respected character actor Ben Gazzara.
