Coming this Fall to the CW. Hidden between the lines of the history books is the story of Mary Stuart, the young woman the world would come to know as Mary, Queen of Scots. Queen of Scotland since she was six days old, the teenage Mary is already a headstrong monarch - beautiful, passionate, and poised at the very beginning of her tumultuous rise to power. Arriving in France with four close friends as her ladies-in-waiting, Mary has been sent to secure Scotland’s strategic alliance by formalizing her arranged engagement to the French king's dashing son, Prince Francis. But the match isn't signed and sealed: it depends more on politics, religion and secret agendas than affairs of the heart. Prince Francis is intrigued by the fiery Scot, but like most young men, he resists the idea of settling down into marriage, especially when he has a history with a lady of the court and his own point of view on the wisdom of an alliance with Scotland. Still, an attraction between Mary and Francis is ignited. Further complicating things is Bash, Francis' roguish half-brother, who has a history of his own - despite his illegitimate birth, Bash is his father's favorite. And now that Bash has caught Mary's eye, a royal triangle may be forming. While at French Court, fierce foes and dark forces conspire to sabotage Mary’s marriage to Francis and even threaten her life, until a mysterious shrouded guide becomes her ally. You know... it's funny you say that! There is a lot of uproar around this show because, "it's not the history channel" and they are saying the show doesn't follow any sort of "real" history on this character.

By the sounds of it, no it doesn't. Mary, Queen of Scots, had a VERY difficult life and for many years did not even live in Scotland. She lived in France from the time she was a baby until she was about 16, if I recall correctly, when she went back to Scotland to rule. Even though it won't be accurate, it sounds like fun.

I know! I'm actually, kind of excited to see the premiere of it too. I have heard some good things about it. I think a lot of people are just upset that it doesn't follow the "real" story of her... But hey... it's the CW and they have to make it a certain way!

Well...if it was on The History Channel than it better follow her real story, but as you said, it's the CW so... Sadly, her real story, as interesting as it was/is, wouldn't make a good t.v. series.

I guess not. I did want to say I watched the premiere last week, did you? I'll try not to spoil it too bad. It was okay. I'm not sure if I will like it or not to be honest. I was irritated that they started it off with a triangle first thing. You know how I feel about this crap. Or maybe it was because I was already pissed after watching TVD I thought the ghost thing was kind of creepy.  Actually, the only great part of it so far was her. Love the character so far.

Nope, haven't watched it. Still don't have the CW so its kind of a "hassle" to remember to watch stuff online!
