I am not sure about this episode. It was good in terms of season 3. Actually, it was better than I thought it would be.

Liz's dad is bugging me as much as Liz is. He is suddenly a singer? He is suddenly changing his mind about Max? What's with him asking Jim for advice about it? Are they even friends? And what ever happened to Mrs. Parker?

Max was... OK, I can hardly recall the way he *used to* act so I don't know if he is acting differently now. Though he seemed out of character.

Isabel is alone on New Year's Eve so she goes to see Kyle? She doesn't go to see her brother and her old friend Michael, or to hunt down a party with Maria? Kyle can do no wrong but why does he suddenly have a crush on Isabel? Blah! Stop trying to ruin him. The thing she did with the car was cool, though. Wish I could do that.

The whole hidden rave in Roswell concept was silly. How could someone not know where a huge party is in a small town? And why didn't they just stay at the frat party? A party is a party. I enjoyed seeing Michael losing it when he thought he was on fire. Really made the episode worth watching.

Alright here I go, I LOVED it! I will definitely rate this ep the best of the bunch for all this season & most of last ;)
Go ahead and throw those tomatoes at me :eek but I stand strong on this one... I found myself laughing & loving every minute of it- which is about damn time! :lol I liked how they opened with the "different" partners and normally I am all conventional but this was fun & definetly got my attention.
The next scenes with Max & Liz, my expectations were pretty low since I haven't been feeling much lately.. but I actually felt like I was back in season one for a few moments there..:b now only if those writers can delete that damn spot storyline all just might be well...
Loved all the Isabel & Kyle scenes.. these two work pretty well together.. although they really shouldn't mess with a married person storyline, I guess this is inevitable... the only way I can see this as being okay or even remotely feasible is if Jesse finds out about Isabels secret and wants a divorce.. leaving Isabel single again and open to Kyle.. otherwise, no adultry please:rolleyes .
Max & Maria were okay, they used to be "best friends" that one summer & then just went back to barely knowing each other.. so I guess it was good to see them all buddy, buddy again...
Shocked to see the continuety with the alcohol...;eek Someone is starting to clear up some of the old plot holes & reinforce some of the old storylines... happy bout that!
Glad to see Liz at the end realize (of course it took the old lady to clear it up for her) that the world does not revolve around her & everything she wants.. and she deceided to think of someone else ie. Maria to go have fun with Max and she deceided to stay & help her father...this is the Liz I remember, caring, thoughtful, helping others and not so demanding..:lol
Overall, this is my favorite ep for the year so far & whoever wrote this one, I hope, continues;)

Ducking now into my little tunnel to prevent having my head smashed in:rollin :rollin :rollin

Jen - you're right that it's probably the best ep of this season. And I can see how you'd like it. I tried to approach it this time as if I hadn't seen the show before and in that case I liked the episode. But when I think of the big picture and how it just doesn't fit, that is when I come up with problems.

Laura- that's exactly what you have to do.. just enjoy the one ep and forget the rest.. I gave up trying to remember the whole picture, because every week it changes and never follows through... I mean one week it's the search for spot the next week were back at season one with the dreamers and no thought of the spot:rollin I'm not sure the whole picture has ever made any sense.. and where is all the sci-fi this year? Tons last year only to changing colors & using powers every now & then this year? I've been lost for who knows how long now :lol

I couldn't agree more, as a stand alone eppy, if one had never scene the show before, it wasn't horrible. But in the larger scheme of things, it was a glaring "no fit" episode. Why are the characters rewritten every episode? I just don't understand it. At least in this eppy everyone wasn't fighting-they just weren't with the ones they should be with. And why can't they all be in the same room together for once? SIGH

All my love,

Rick

Surely, some of the lurkers have something to say. Liked it? Hated it? Where's all the Reviews/Rants?
I find it hard to believe that hardly no one has an opinion :(
