Hey guys...I had to pick the subject title carefully because believe me this is good news!

I've scanned this article in Entertainment Weekly's March 8th issue.

Both As If & Random Years is getting poor reviews, but I'm loving what they said about Random Years and the grade they gave them.

Does anyone know what they said about Roswell.

I would have watched the random years if it wasn't in Roswell's place. Now as if that's a differnt story cause it looks dumber then sh*t. Excuse my language... that's just me ;)

I'm with you Bunni...I have not watched UPN since the last Roswell episode! I refuse to watch a network that is putting us through the misery of not being able to watch our favorite show and constent wondering about its fate! I am so pleased to see that those "other shows" are doing so poorly in Roswell's timeslot. Hopefully that will show the PTB something...that they are lucky to have all the Roswell fans watching their network! Sorry...got off on a little rant there! :D

I guess that would be hard on some of you who watch Buffy. I don't watch it, so it's no problem to me. :lol I wonder though, if they will be trying to get Angel this season to put on after Buffy? It doesn't matter much to me, except that they bring my Roswell back! :lol :rollin2

Ya know, I'm just really surprised that the UPN keeps putting the As If & Random Years on the schedule... I mean, it's weird. You would think that if a show was getting that low of ratings, why would they keep it on the air? Hmm... Just my thought...

See that may be a good sign then.. if they keep shows on with low ratings, that MUST mean that Roswell will be renewed. :grin

LMAO. :lol

I don't know if i would play that game. I mean roswell only staying on because nothing else is good enough because of low ratings. and the only reason why UPN wants to get rid of Roswell is b/c low rates.

it's kind of a no win situation. b/c as soon as they DO find something roswell will be off for good.

So then the question I want to know is, If they cancel both the shows does Roswell stay, or not?

It's defiantly an unexpected twist that is in Roswell's favor. I've read some reacts to the possiblity of having S4 and now JK has the opportunity to really write some GOOD/GREAT episodes.

If i could say this to JK, I'd say take this awesome opportunity and make the best of it...don't let the fans down and don't let this opportunity be in vain.

:)

Well he better not screw up the chance. He's already screwed up enough! Anyway, I read some things on what might happen with S4 and it sounds really good so crossing my fingers in hopes JK doesn't screw up if Roswell is given another season (I know it's a longshot, but can't blame me for dreaming)

destinyros2005~ I'll see if I can find some stuff and post it on a seperate thread for you.;) Edited to say~ I opened it up under the Spoilers Forum (Just in case) ;)

As far as cancellation goes~

Courtesy of WS site~
Dear Older Roswell Fan,
Not so fast there, the news of our demise is just a little premature. We have not been cancelled, none of the actors have been released from their contracts, the two pilots UPN trotted out as possible replacements have gotten numbers that make Roswell look pretty good, and finally, I've been in this business long enough to know that nothing is certain until it's certain- and even then it may not be certain. The new fall season will be announced in May, until then we're just on hiatus. Meanwhile, I'm off to NY to do the new John Guare play titled "A Few Stout Individuals". We start previews in the end of April and close our limited run in the middle of June. See you in NY.

Onward.

WS

Hey all,
Your friendly neighborhood Futon Critic here. This news will hit the wires tomorrow but I figured you guys might be interested. Anyway, it's official, UPN has canceled "As If" and "The Random Years" due to low ratings. They plan to fill the Tuesday, 9:00/8:00c slot with the following until "Roswell" returns on April 23:March 26: "Under One Roof" (encore of premiere)
April 2: "The Parkers" & "Girlfriends" (repeats)
April 9: "The Parkers" & "Girlfriends" (repeats)
April 16: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (repeat)
April 23: "Roswell" resumes

While I'm happy with the fact that As If and the Random Years are cancelled, can't figure out why UPN won't just put on Roswell re-runs in its timeslot?!

destinyros2005~ Mucho Gracious! No problem at all. Glad to help. ;)

AbsoluteAngel58~ The only thing I can come up with is maybe they (UPN) don't have the rights to all the other episodes from the past... then again your right, they could just reshow this years reruns.. I'm just as puzzled as you. :lol :rollin2
