Hello!

This is my first time posting. Thank you Jen, for being so nice in letting me post this information here. I hope some of you might be interested.

My name is Kelly, and my friend Rebecca and I ran the Jason Behr Birthday Project for two years. Unfortunately, with Roswell gone, we found out it was impossible for us to continue it this year, for many reasons.

We both decided that we wanted to conitnue in the charitable spirit by raising money for FSMA (Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Garrett Lerner's son Zeke is dealing with this debilitating disease. Garrett is a former writer for Roswell. He snd his family have given our efforts his full support.

We are planning a Remembering Roswell Gathering in Los Angeles. I have posted the information below. The deadline was originally 7.10.0, but if any of you are interested, we are flexible on payment date, as long as attendance is definite.

Venue: Raleigh Studios Cafe, Hollywood

Time/Date: Saturday August 3rd 7:00 - 11:00 p.m.

Cost: $55.00 per person

Proceeds to benefit Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (FSMA)

Roswell fans have banded together many times to bring attention to raise awareness and raise money for so many good causes. Countless charities have benfitted from their generosity through fund-raising efforts, gatherings and
auctions.

This is an invitation for fans to get together one more time to mingle, have some fun and raise money for a worthy charity. The cost of admission includes giveaways, finger foods, beer, wine or soft drinks, dessert and dancing. Also with your admission, a small donation will be made to FSMA.
We plan on having a raffle and possibly a small auction if things work out.

Garrett Lerner has brought this wonderful charity to the attention of Roswell fans through his son Zeke, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy. We hope to add to the donations already generously made by caring fans across the
globe.

Payment deadline is July 10th 2002, but we are flexible on the payment date if attendance is definite.

Why don't you go to the Philly party Jen? That's on the east coast (*mutters to self* 'hoping geography classes in high school taught me something'.) :lol :lol2

Edited to add: On second thoughts, the Philly party is fundraising for FF as well. Better not go :grin

Thank you guys for the welcome, and thank you Claire for suggesting I write Jen.

I hope we are able to get enough people to hold the party as well. There are two other private parties going on out in LA that weekend, so hopefully that might help us a bit.

This whole thing with FF has been very discouraging to say the least, but Garrett and his family are thrilled we're supporting FSMA, so that helps alot.

I love the decoration of the board, and I'll definitely be checking in often! You have a really nice community here :)

Hey Kelly~ Thanks for the great compliments!
