IF you missed it the first time around, now's your chance! Catch the Pilot this week on the WB! :grin

At the onset of their sophomore year of high school, Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek) and his best friend, Josephine "Joey" Potter (Katie Holmes), battle with the knowledge that their lifelong friendship may be changing. Adding to Joey's confusing emotions is the arrival of the radiant Jennifer Lindley (Michelle Williams), who appears to be "the girl next door," but has an air of mystery surrounding her as she harbors a dark secret from her past. Rounding out the clique is Pacey (Joshua Jackson), whose gift for sarcasm is topped only by an over-confident knack for stumbling awkwardly unprepared into adult situations.

It's so amazing how young they all look! Dawson with his long hair, Joey actually having that beautiful tomboy-next-door look, and PACEY omg he is just adorable!

Well, I can tell you about the mermaids...

D/Jers at FDC decided we were going to name ourselves...(long story how it came about involves cults and the FBI :lol ) so we decided on the D/J Nuns b/c we always keep the faith. So I'm the first D/J nun (:p at Vicki; this is why we get along so well-we're the leaders of of packs ;) :D Actually - didn't they vote for Amber, Vicki? Ahhh so nevermind that.) Theeennnn the P/Jers decided they wanted to be like us ;) j/k and they decided on Mermaids. And Vicki of course horded the #1 :lol So basically D/Jers and P/Jers made up a group name and then chose stuff to be keepers of likes lots of boards do (we followed the Creek ho style, which I am also) so that's what it all means.

I think it had to do with how P/J read the Mermaid book to each other on True Love or something...blah..I didn't really pay attention when they were throwing around names :lol

We started with suggestions.. everything from Mermaids to Elephants (I think that one was because of Pacey's 'I remember everything." line.). After tons of suggestions, the posters voted on their favorites. The winner just happened to be the Mermaids. (Thank God for that one.. hehe). The reason behind it is basically what Kris said.. from their summer out at sea together, they read to each other. That was one of the books they read at night while lying in their hammock. *sighs* So sweeet! :)
