The backetball players are being auctioned off to raise money for something. Whoever wins the guy of their choice gets him 'til midnight. They guys have to dance individually and Nathan is shirtless for at least part of the time. (The WB boards)
The girls bid on the guys they do not for themselves but to keep "other" girls from getting them. (The WB boards)
Peyton wins Nathan at the auction, and they go on a date,and they even have a good night kiss, but IT'S JUST A FRIENDLY KISS (bts)
From here: Regarding "the kiss": [As] the date ends with Peyton and Nathan, Nathan says this new guy thing is new for me: I still have some feelings for you but I don't want to be the kind of guy that cheats. Peyton [replies] "than don't be". She then tells him that she is proud of him and how he has changed for the better. He then half smiles " I guess by rule I owe you a kiss" and she replies "I guess so". She smiles. It's a gentle moment. They look into each other's eyes and see the better people they've become. As they kiss goodnight, Lucas happens [to be] by and spots them. As for the kiss "Nathan and Peyton break the kiss, lingering with the aura of their past relationship." That's it-Haley and Nathan are still GOOD! BTS Brooke and Mouth go on a date (she wins him at the auction). She accidentally calls him "Lips". (The WB boards & BTS)
